Hey guys, I heard about this Hyper Notorious Monster called Kirin. Not only does he have INSANE regen, he even summons gods! On top of that, his Astral Flow and Stonega IV can wipe out an entire alliance of level 75s.

I've heard the only way to beat him is to kite him around until he runs out of mana. Once he does that, he shouldn't be able to cast anymore. To deal with the wipe that will come from Astral Flow, a RDM will Chainspell-Raise 1. Don't worry about the experience loss, we can camp at Ulli later.

I would steal Bubbling Bernie claims from people camping him for gil (thats right, people were buying Quus from the AH, spawning him, getting the clock, and completing the quest for 500g, WOW! rich) It was repeatable, so people would apparently get LOTS of gil from this (hahah, lots back then)

Anyway, I had no idea how he was popped, or anything, I thought he just appeared, and back then, NM's were popped UNCLAIMED! Would suck to still be like that now (Think of Sky NM's)

People were angry at me, lol, but I got my steam clock, anf 500g to follow!

Back then having 10k was like having 100k.

This all took place on Ragnarok, my first server before I eventually quit and started again on Quetz. I miss the good old days...

I leveled Black Mage to 17, so I could use Warp and moghouse exits to repeat the Bubbly Bernie quest in half the time.
Funded my full chainmail set for my highest job at the time, WAR24/MNK10. I think I read almost an entire book during the runs.
I'd also just switched from Sword and Shield to Great Axe, and was trying to cap my skill with it.
