I've heard a lot about new, quick ways of leveling...

So I just came back after about a year, and I now see that my Smn sub is no longer acceptable for my 75 Whm. Picking up my other subs, I only have Blm at 27 (HATE IT) and Sch at 18 (like it, but personally prefer Smn).

I've heard a lot about exp'ing being easier and solo possibilities are greater...my only question is: What ARE these new ways? Sorry if this is a totally stupid/noob question, I just don't wanna sit LFP on lowbie jobs forever before I get a party. I just wanna be back on my Whm and not gimp.

I don't know what was available a year ago so I'll just make a list of things that come to mind (underlined ones are links):

- Level Sync
- Fields of Valor
- SMN burns

As for soloing pre-37, I have no idea except for the previously mentioned fields of valor system. Normally I opt for a party.

Given the new update that's coming out, SMN may become OK to have as a SJ again depending on how well these new abilities work.

Those new buffs are activated through a lv 55 job ability, Smn main only.

Smn is still a good sub for Whm, just not the best.
Sch lowers casting time, recast timers, mp costs and grants a form of refresh via Sublimation equal to Auto-Refresh.

Personally, I still use /smn for my WHM, although I am working on /sch at the moment (mainly for SMN/sch uberness lol)

If you insist on lvling other subs, level sync is a cheap way to not care about a SJ and just stay in qufim/dunes/jungles the whole time. Never worry about spending gil on new gear or w/e because your not leaving said area. Its a nice and lazy way.

Now if you wanna be real lazy... SMN burning is the way to whore a sj to 37 in a matter of hours. It seems to be frowned apon on most servers, but it is damn effective for a job that will have capped skill til 37 lol.

A bit late, but Campaign Ops are also great exp for low level jobs, if you have access to tier IV ones. I do 7 Materiel Storm IVs weekly, and even if I get the minimum exp on each one, it's 3164 exp/week (usually I get more than the minimum though, as I try to do them as soon as possible after the tally). It's like a couple of extra exp scrolls each week, only you can do it on any job level 10 or higher (rather than 20 or higher).
