I doubt any game will ever reach the greatness of Xenogears.:wink:

I'll take FF7 over xenogears any day (and ff6 was my first ff).
 
Xenogears is much better.

And its really a different game and story lol
 
I really like that game. One of my top 5 I think because of the story. Really wish they hadn't have rushed and made the 3rd disc so dull though. Having Fei sit in that chair and tell the story was boring...
 
That and the game was a good challenge yet not impossible. I was upper 70s and still struggled to be the "weak" version of the final boss. Yeah xenogears had an awsome story to it and a cool battle system. Doc with his sword was just awsome.
 
Xenogears > FF7 storywise, gameplay-wise, character-wise, and FMVs (sexy FMVs!). I think FF7 had better music though :P The only crappy thing about Xenogears was the second disc where it was like "hay we're gonna tell you stuff and throw a battle at you every now and then" which got gay.. but that's SE's fault for rushing Xenogears' production

Xenosaga is the prequel to Xenogears (actually Xenogears is supposed to be Xenosaga Episode 5... originally at least)

it was supposed to be a prequel and tie in later on, but that got changed cuz the company making xenosaga never got the rights to xenogears.
 
so Xenogears is a space romping Fight the aliens type game without Kos-mos?

No, the only part of Xenogears that was in space is like the opening scene.

The story was originally supposed to go that 10,000 years AFTER Xenosagas. The whole thing takes place on one planet where the people don't have cabalities of going into space.

I don't even know how to describe the story for you, its so complex. You should give it a try yourself.

i would love to but they is a small problem.. Xenogears is nearly impossible to find nowadays ><

i would try ebay but arnt tihier prices for that game outrageous

Ps1 ISOs. If you can't find them I can probably hook you up.

I personally have the game for ps1 because I was lucky enough to buy a new copy in a store that had 1 left. Probably the best $40 bucks I ever spent on a game.

All the gundams, or Gears as the game calls them are ancient technology the people excavate, but don't know how to create. Saying more about what they are would be spoilers, but they tie in very well into the story and the 10,000 year history of the world.
 
im gonna look into the game thats for sure i just cat atm since im at work :(
 
ive never found a functioning PS1 emulator due to the lack of bios ><
 
I can send you 1 if you have aim or something. I remember I spent hours getting everything together to get the emulator working for suikoden 1 and 2 xD
