No. No it doesn't. It draws on the already assumed, common sense fact that a bard should not melee at 40+, and adds that they shouldn't even be in melee before that. You're just trying (unsuccessfully) to fuck with someone else's words to make it look like they are wrong.

Charlo is awesome lol he melees like no other RDM, and sometimes better than a DD.

About Jamesy, sorry he's been an idiot lately. He's in my LS and I told him what Areya said to him, most of it. He will regret it soon or later when he realizes he wont get any PT at all because of the way hes doing hes job.

There is no such thing as a good Red Mage who melees in EXP/merit parties as a Red Mage should not be meleeing. Maybe you should go somewhere like Alla where people actually agree with stupid shit like this. Keep partying with that gimp, though; it keeps them out of my party.
 
rdm meleeing in pts is about as accepted these boobs are real

PT with Charlo, and youll definitely change your narrow-minded opinions!

He definitely wasnt gimp, either. Had 3 pieces of dusk, I believe, joyeuse, and some dagger. Several other good pieces as well. Every job has the potential to deal good damage, if they have good weapon ratings. Period. Charlo proves this with his character. Ill also add that its very refreshing to have someone not jump on a bandwagon (except he was /nin lawlz, but that only made his melee better)

On topic of the OP: Couple pals of mine had the same horrid experience with him, IDK how his BRD gear looked aside his uh, paper knife...
But he couldn't do his job = gimp. ;O

It could be taken that a bard can start melee around 40+, thinking that 40+ is where meleeing picks up...

But leave it to someone to actually think that's what you meant or at the very least try and make it look like that's what you meant when it's fairly common knowledge to most people who read these forums that Bards for general xp/merit purposes Dunes+ just don't melee.

General Rule of thumbs, mages do not melee in exp party (except for BLU of course...) for various obvious reasons such as mp, mp, mp, feeding mob with tp, mp, mp, mp, no chain, and did i mention MP?

And to Ruffy, not everyone is excel at their job and probably smaller percentage of the population that can play mage jobs. Yes, i hate mages that meree in exp party ONLY IF their actions directly affects the party. If the mages meree in pt with little effects on exp/per hour... heck i don't care.

Plus as RDM, we do not really get much resting time either when in merit party, if the other party members can take care of themselves as in not to be severe mp sponge to RDM. Yeahhh , sure he can meree all he wants.

But, how many good RDM with the right party set up with the right party members with the right camp and the right mobs that can do that Ruffy? >_>

this bard was not doing his job...and was finding it more important to melee than to do his buffs...I find that effecting the party
