Like I said, the negative reactions... probably in your best interests. Why do you think I never ever care about the people who are all "I'm rating you down! I'm blisting you! I'm going to insult you now!"?
It saves me the trouble of finding out.
Rather than encounter these people "in the wild" so to speak, and taking a chance with these LQ players, they come right to me and announce that they're morons, who would rather stand up for their friend than say "Hey, maybe you SHOULD stop doing that, it's not in a party's best interests."
All in all, I wouldn't sweat it. The positives, including the fact that you stand by not partying with him, far outweigh any negatives.

On a side not Areya my brd is 52 keep an eye out for me Ill pt with ya. I promise not to melee (although with a low staff skill Im sure my terra/apollo would do great dmg!),

Anyway, yes. It is indeed hilarious. Let me analyze you for a minute.
You're 18, you met a nice guy in-game that you like. That's understandable. Said friend gets flamed, and you stick up for him. Hell, I've stuck up to friends before as well. That's completely understandable, and I commend you for that. Its completely natural.
However, here's the fun part. Sadly, you don't have quite the same self-esteem in real life that I do. That's a great difference. Additionally, you're less mature. You don't have quite the same argumentative skills, and apparently think you "win" an argument. I'm sure you felt very proud over the last post you made, and probably smiled a bit when you pressed the "reply" button because of how witty and smart you were.
Sadly, I know your type. The type that thinks they're cool by telling people how much pussy they get all the time. The kind of guy who thinks getting laid once actually makes you cool. Sadly, getting laid once doesn't automatically put you in the cool people club. Nor does it warrant you to play the "Go out and get laid" card. Most people use it as a joke. But to use it the way you did, gives me the hint that you actually used it as a serious attempt for an insult.
I know, you might be proud to be that average high school teen that actually got laid once before they turned 20, but sadly, that doesn't make your life better then everyone else. Because, guess what, most people actually DO get laid before they turn 20.
You can play cool if you want. You can trick yourself all you want, and you might even trick a few QCDN'ers that you're cool irl. Sadly, the Internet reflects who you want to be, not necessarily what you are. And from the way you write, that isn't what you are irl. The wimp turning cool never becomes a story with a happy ending. Especially not when you drag it to qcdn.

tbh, I'm not sure why you starting a month ago suddenly makes you more aware of life and somehow better then the rest of us. I've been playing for 3 years, have a work etc. I also hang with friends quite often, so I'm quite aware of what life is like. The ironic part is that you mention work as means to support this game, so let me ask you... if you have a work, friends and family, and that isn't life, then what is life? Because if that's not life, then you don't have one either. Playing the no-life card is quite hypocritical in your situation. Unless you don't work and only sit at home playing all day and never hand out with friends. In that case, it seem you have less of a life then most of us, in which case words can't even describe the irony in what you just wrote.
