January NPD numbers: Wii dominance

[Tagrineth]

URL removed, I just noticed it got screwed up somehow and replaced with something not related to anything at all. I'll fix it later.

The official NPD numbers for January:

Wii 435,503
PlayStation 2 299,352
Xbox 360 293,774
PlayStation 3 243,554
Nintendo DS 238,869
PlayStation Portable 210,719
Game Boy Advance 179,482
GameCube 33,806
Xbox 833

Can't wait to see how February pans out. PSP sales are holding nicely, I'm impressed... and look at those GBA sales! Hahaha.

I can't help but wonder how many PSP sales are to frustrated consumers that simply can't get a DS anywhere... While working at Circuit City I did have several people buy PSPs after asking for DSes and finding we, like everyone else, everywhere, had none.

lolCanada NPD numbers for January:

Wii 34,000
PS2 27,000
360 14,400
PS3 6,800

Yeah, I'm not making these up...

Hard to find a new Xbox and NPD can't get sales from used games, consoles, etc. Unlike Sony, Microsoft doesn't produce their last gen anymore... it's kind of stupid they don't make a cheaper version of it like Sony did the PS2. I can't believe their was even that many new Xboxs to buy XD

On another note, I can't believe the 360 is still putting up those kind of numbers at how long it has been out and how many it has already sold Basically, this is a fight for the Wii and PS3 people. Both have a long way to catching up with the 360 sales. Which one will, will either? Who knows.

Dude, I bought a lite about 2 months ago and all they had were the pink ones, so I just settled for that. I look badass with it though.
