Well after having to tweak my xbox because it was having laser issues and having to up the pot collaboration just for this game, i finally got to play it a day after i got it.

Its hella fun! Another case of the a demo not doing a game justice.
This is certainly going to be a sleeper hit. most people will pass over it because of early bad reviews and the lacking demo, and miss out on a great game with an equally great story. My only gripe so far is that the early levels seem short, but get harder and harder as you get through them, i can only assume the length gets longer as you move forward too.
Once you begin being able to jump your soul from body to body on your squad for the use of each of their special powers or weapons, it gets very interesting and strategic.
This is the first squad based game i have played that actually felt like i was commanding the squad.
And that it was a solid squad to boot. So far the game is pretty good on the story front, its bringing out some twists early on and they are great. the achievements are pretty easy to get, just time consuming, and youll save alot of time getting them if you play on hard mode.
Tho they are confusing in trying to remember which achievement you need or want to get because the names are character names and stuff, and im not to the point where i have the names memorized so i get confused.
This game appears to have created the same dizzyness/sickness side effect that alot of people experienced with the orange box, where how the motions are in the game kinda make you feel funny and almost sick when playing alot.
I honestly havent felt it when playing, but alot of people online have.
I felt the sickness and dizzy feeling when playing portal on orange box, so i am anticipating it in jericho i guess.
if your into horror games or thrillers this is definantly a must have, i have yet to read a person who has played it outside of a low rated review, which i pay more attention to gamers opinion than a review, that has not felt this game was a great one. check it out!

oh and actually i do have one other gripe, a big one at that. youll see a menu in this game that says CODES or whatever, bonus codes i think it is.
That menu pissed me off.
they list phone numbers to call if you want the codes for like 2 dollars a minute, you have to PAY for the codes, and they are individual codes that will only work on your game, and once used are yours alone. NICKEL AND DIMING PEOPLE for stupid codes like infinite ammo. Refuckindiculous.

I'm enjoying the game so far, though I'm not very far into it. I was a big fan of Clive Barker's last shooter, Undying, and figured this would be a worthy effort.

I love the banter between squad members. They definitely feel like a close-knit group. I still get the giggles over the line when I first jumped into the telekinetic lesbian sniper: "Congratulations, now you finally know what's like to have a man inside you."

The reviewer at 1up hated the game, and his write-up sounded more like an unhinged rant. You almost want to pull him aside and ask "Where did the bad game touch you? It's okay. You can tell me. You're safe."

Definitely a sleeper game. It's had very little promotion/hype.

yeah i love that line!!!!
i used an exploit to get two of the codes, which i got the unlimited ammo and quick health regen, which pretty much means its hard as hell to get incapacitated.
i found a nice spot to get the 250 BOOM achievement where the enemies kept respawning, i coulda used the ghost snipe bullet one there too...but by time i got that boom one i was bored.
Also, i came here to type this since i did finally get hit with the dizzyness people are talking about...and it was nothing like what i experienced playing portal. i have NO idea how i got hit with it when i did but it was quick and made me feel sick so i had to get up and take a break.
but it was when using the one guys slow motion digital screen thingy.i used it before but it never affected me, but this time when i used it and it ended and went back to normal speed i got insanley dizzy and just went "whoa" and paused it. weird phenomenon.

completed the game, absolutley amazing game. one gripe, the ending. youll see why when you get there.
but Jericho is definantly a sleeper hit, it will be a shame for people to miss this one.

From what you guys have said about this thread, i wanted to try this game out again, but it isn't anywhere in Blockbuster or Hollywood Video to be found. This makes me sad. Is there multiplayer/how is it?

I want this game bad :P I enjoyed the demo (cause I took it as just that, a demo... not complete) and the story sounded like it could be pwnsome

single player story only.

the story is awesome, but its going to be a trilogy and therefore had a worse ending than halo 2...

Playing it now and its not bad at all.

At least, we hope it'll be a trilogy. If it doesn't sell well, they could scrap the next entries. That would make me a sad panda, because I finished it last night and saw the ending. /sigh

Still, I enjoyed the hell out of it. There are a couple of gameplay flaws I'd like to see tweaked in future versions, but I can't complain. I'm playing through it again on Hard.

Article: "Vintage Violence."
Barker is planning more projects with the Warwickshire-based developer Code-masters. A Jericho sequel is one plan. “I’ve already told Code-masters where the next game will head,” he says. “It starts on an aircraft carrier in the middle of the ocean, with 666 children in the hold...”

Hm. This really isn't my type of game ... I'd fall asleep during most shooters, except for the ones that give me nightmares (this would be one of them, probably).

This isn't the first time I've heard this kind of talk about Jericho, however ... it's always very positive. That, along with the cool commericals for the game, kind of make me want to pick it up...

Try renting it, if nothing else. I saw a post at GameFAQs which described it as the game you'd get if Rainbow Six and Silent Hill had a baby. Heh.

There's definitely some fucked up critters running around in the game.
