Childhood
Jinnai lost his parents in the great war, and no one wanted to be the parents of Jinnai. Only 12 years old, he worked in Selbina, he helped load and unload ships that came in and out of Selbina. Had his own room near the Weavers Guild, but no parents to give him support, he had to earn his own money, and food. The Weavers Guild offered him a job by making materials for them, and they would pay him for his work.
One day, a ship from Norg came in. They were stopping to pick up some materials that were being held for them, because of the recent ocean patrols of smuggling. They saw Jinnai, 12 years old, and able to pick up a crate of heavy blades, armor, and etc. They thought he would be valuable for quick unloading in Windurst. So they hired him, and said they would pay him greatly.
On their way to Windurst, they passed a San d'Orian Royal Knight ship. The Knights got suspicious of the ship and decided to locate their destination.
After the arrival into Windurst, and after they finished unloading, the boss pirate paid Jinnai, and also rewarded him a Kunai. Jinnai not knowing of this blade, he told him of the Ninjas, and Samurai in the Far East.
So the pirates all met at the gates in front of Windurst, and the boss pirate wanted to show how to use the Kunai. After Jinnai killed a bumble bee with the blade, three Royal Knights showed up at the gates, and they instantly remembered the pirates. They looked at the Kunai Jinnai was holding.
"A katana! Those are outlawed! How dare you smuggle those in from the Far East." Said one of the Knights.
"One katana, it's only one katana." Said the boss pirate.
The Knight in white armor, different from the other two, must be the leader replied, "I bet the cargo you had on your ship has more of these, and them some." The knight unsheathed his sword. "That is smuggling! Which is punishable by death!"
The knight slashed his sword at the boss pirate, but the boss pirate was already casting something, but unoticable because he was chanting under his breath. The knight's blade went through the pirate like a warm knife in butter.
However, the pirate mysteriously came at the side of knight, and at blinding speed, struck the blade into the side of the Knight.
The knight dropped his sword, fell to his knees, and gripped his side. "What magic is this? White magic, it can't be, it takes too long to cast Blink..."
After a while of silence, a guard from the Windurst gates, came over. "Royal Knight, it is not your job to attack our people, in front of the Windurst gates. That wound is from your own underestimation."
"You defend this criminal? I see. Windurst is just a criminal city, no better than Bastok." The Knight said, getting support to walk by the other two knights. He looked at Jinnai, "An Elvaan, that fights for Windurst. You are no good. You rather fight with small and incompetent Tarutaru, and weak foolish Mithra. You make me sick! You don't deserve the right to be Elvaan!"
"Don't listen to this foolish knight's ramble." Said the boss pirate.
That night. When the pirates were getting ready to go back to Norg, Jinnai wanted to come. The pirates told him to stay here in Windurst, and serve them.
9 years later...
"The yagudo have been very active lately. They have killed some of our citizens. This is what I have observed. I was attacked also, I had no choice but to slay them." Said Jinnai to the gate guard.
"This is not good. We must stop these Yagudo, at any cost. Jinnai, you think you arrre capable of spying on the Yagudo leaderrr without being detected?" Said the Mithran guard.
"I shall not fail." Said Jinnai.
Jinnai snuck into Giddeus. He made it to where the leader is being held.
"Isn't this great? We have the Windurstian's giving us offering every day to not attack them, but we can still kill there adventurers, and they do nothing!" The leader said.
"That's what you think..." Jinnai took out a shuriken and threw it at the leader, hitting him in the throat. All the Yagudo ran to his aid, and looked from where it came. Nothing was there. Jinnai was already on his way back to Windurst. When two Yagudo confronted him at the exit.
"You are not going anywhere! We know what have you done! Those ears, San d'Orian! What is a San d'Orian doing near Windurst! I must tell the others!" One Yagudo said.
The Yagudo started running to the leaders place, but Jinnai didn't care. However the other Yagudo was still there.
"I will kill you for what you have done!" The Yagudo got poised for battle.
"Hmph." Jinnai smirked. He pulled his katanas.
The yagudo jumped at Jinnai with his fists. Jinnai rolled under the airborne Yagudo, got up and struck the yagudo from behind. The yagudo turned around, with even more anger in his eyes. He jumped to kick Jinnai, but Jinnai put up his katana to parry, and pushed up, cutting the Yagudo's leg down the middle, then slashed his other katana at the Yagudo chest. The yagudo fell to the ground. It grumbled and got up. Hardly have the ability to walk, and tried to fight. Jinnai was already chanting something under his breath. The yagudo could feel his body heating up, and noticed his feathers were on fire. The yagudo fell, burning, and screeching in pain.
Jinnai pointed at the yagudo's neck with his katana. "Foolish attempt at attacking me." He struck down, killing the yagudo.
He left to go back to Windurst. Knowing that the Yagudo think that San d'Oria had attacked the Yagudo, and that the Yagudo will be occupied. Giving Windurst more time to make a plan to take down the Yagudo.
At the gate, the Mithran guard waited. "You brrring news?"
"Yes, but i have taken care of the leader, and also, the yagudo now think San d'Oria is out to get them."
"The Starrr Sybil brrrought you safety." Said the Mithran guard.
"The Star Sybil might of given me the safety of my travel, but the Shinkage Ryu guided me." Jinnai smiled warmly, and left to go rest at his home.
