Job Ability Timers

I was browsing through another message board when I saw someone state that the Job Ability timers - essentially a built-in /recast command - were taken out and no longer show up without an explicit /recast. Was that done this update or sometime before? (Does /recast even work with JAs?)

I'm a White Mage, and since spells have never had the nifty feature, I just wanted to verify from other players that this news was true. It would have been much smarter to just add that functionality to spells instead of taking it away from abilities.

/recast still works.

But it won't display how much time is left if you try to use an ability that isn't ready anymore.

perhaps this is a bug that was accidentally created when creating all of the new game data in the update (a similar bug occured in the meritable job ability update, and the RNG Ability Barrage, where the text in the chatlog (and the actual dynamic of the ability itself) were changed. they were later fixed)

i can't see a reason they'd remove this from the chat, after it being the way it was essentially ever since the game came out
