Anyone else seen this coming? This was my favorite movie growing up along with the Goonies, and I've gone so far as to make this my 100th Blue-Ray (Currently sitting at 95).

I haven't seen it in years, but I expect it will be a waste of money on Blue-ray...but still, this one will bring me back.

Any other Short Circuit or Goonies fans? Represent!

Johnny 5 kicks ass, he has a 500 MB memory.

But seriously, those movies were fucking awesome.

I still have Short Circuit on VHS, lol, but would be lucky to find a player anywhere...

I liked the goonies a bit, but could only handle so much of it... I wasnt that obsessed with that movie

Goonies wise one of my friends growing up was a little heavy, so we made him do the truffle shuffle...good times.

Short Circuit I just loved because I wanted to build a robot. Mine haven't turned out...

yet!

Input!

Short Circuit rocked my socks when I was little too. My favorite part was the white guy that they made play the guy from India. Got to love the 80's.

HHHEEEEYYYYY YYYYYOOOOOOUUUUUU GGGGUUUUUUUYYYYYSSSSS!!!!!!! - Sloth XD

Goonies is definitely in my top 50 All-Time Favorites.

Short Circuit was awesome, but I was definitely more of a The Last Starfighter fan.

Gooniies and Short Circuit fan here ^^ I just watched Short Circuit last week, but unfortunately not on BR.

I love short circuit. As soon as i saw it as a free movie from comcast i downloaded both of them. Wasn't *as* big of a goonies fan, but i loved the shirts.

I had a shirt that my mom threw away that had "Bootytraps" written in bright bold letters and under it was the asian kid that said "Yeah, thats what i said! Bootytraps!"

I never saw The Goonies but Short Circuit and its sequel are both true classics. So great.

Goonies reminds me of when i was a little boy in the 80's. Grouping together with the little crew, Riding our BMX's out of the neighborhood looking for something to do.

Short Circuit is also a good movie. Even though i know Johnny 5 doesn't die, i always feel sad when the decoy gets blown up.

Dam right! My dad took us to the movies to watch them back when tickets were $2.00 and I was so inspired by them. I love Goonies more than Short Circuit. Goonies was Donner's first hit after doing Superman, before he went and did the Lethal Weapons.

The big showdown in the pirate ship is what Hollywood was made for!

ps - oh, and that was when movies had their theme songs too!

We can thank both of these movies for giving us awesome 80s music!

Goonies is one of my favorites. I have to say though, that I'm always disappointed that noone ever shows the octopus scene (either on TV or on the DVD I bought). For some reason it got cut from the movie after theatrical release, and now most people don't even know wtf I'm talking about when I mention it. :(

I know exactly what you're talking about, I miss the octopus too...

ps - thx Rappa for the vids. When I played them (especially the Goonies) a strong feeling overcame me, my childhood... it's gone and I will never have it back. ; ;

I'm going out to get it on Blu-Ray, now!

I feel the need to inject some Howard the Duck loving into this thread. :D
