Jojojo, and Canadiana

ok so I'm waiting for a party and Jojojo sends me a /tell asking me to wait till she gets to jeuno so she can invite me, as I wait she then asks me to buy 2, 5K belts for her, so I do and she pays me back.

She gets to Jeuno and we get a party going and then head off to Labyrinth of Onzozo. After a party member gets aggro he warps back to jeuno and we then have to wait for him to get back.

The party finally gets started and they ask me, a monk, to pull. First fight doesn't go to well and Canadiana starts to get agrivated saying he's not going to switch camps, and demaded that he was staying put. So after we all heal up, Canadiana decides to pull an IT++ and halfway through the battle my connection starts to mess up going R0-500 etc. So I tell them Connection lost I'll be back if it d/cs me. It keeps going from 0+ so I run back and forth trying to keep with the mob, and after a lag spike I see the blm died and then I get xp, so I know we won the fight at least, but then I d/c for good and come back 40 seconds later only to an empty camp.

I send Jojojo a /tell saying that Im back, and she doesn't answer. I said "You there?" and I get nothing. So after being left in Labyrinth, I warp back to jeuno only to see them near the mog house. So I flag up and stand next to them still talking to Jojojo and getting no answer, I talk to Canadiana, no answer. then they wave at me and teleport away going to Gustav without me. They had replaced me and didn't have the decency to at least say we replaced you. Turns out it was Canadiana's idea to replace me because he was a ninja and can't tank good with a monk in party.

I'm not mad that they didnt wait for me for 40 secs even after I said 2 times that I would be back, I'm not mad that they left me in the Labyrinth, and I'm not mad that they replaced me, but not haveing the guts to be an adult and tell me that I was replaced and making me wait for an answer is just childish. So needless to say seeing as they want to act like babies I'm going to treat them as such every chance I get.
 
Even children have a sense of common decency.
 
*sighs...* i dont get why ppl dont even reply to you, it makes no sense at all...imo...whats the worst that could possibly happen? they yell at you, maybe, but so what, just /blist or somthin. i mean cmon, WHY PEOPLE?!!?!?! why dont you just ANSWER the person?!?! you /muted ppl disgust me >.< /fume/fume/fume u can all go crawl into a big fucking pile of horse shit and die!! :evil:

i partied with canadiana on my monk a ton from like 40 to 55, and although i took hate, its nothing different than any other pld or nin tank that i have been with, i tank half the fight usually so im used to it.

canadiana did better than some of the plds in some cases with hate....

never had a problem with that person at all.

I've had a few experiences with both of these ppl b4, but never saw anything that indicated they would do something that low. Until I hear something from their side of the story I've lost most of my respect for them.

I read your post and ill start by saying. I have never met JoJo, but seen he or she around. Canadiana is kinda on my ls. He is like family to me and tho he may be impatient at times, his skills on ffxi is all around very good.

I dont know what happen on the iccident so ill stay out of that, but canadiana is good ppl's and a very good friend to me so keep leveling bro. I dont know what your future is as far as the ls is, but hope to see you back soon.

Take Care and Man, flames are getting boring. We need some more stuff about crazy ppl.
 
I have known Canadiana for quite some time now, and have pted with Jojojo a few times. Personally I have no problems with Jojojo, but don't remember much about them, but Canadiana, I've talked with him almost daily and have pted with him a good amount of times too. Never seen him do something of this nature, but anyone is capable of anything. Either there are some things missing from the story or I don't know. Guess I'll wait to see this story develop more.

perhaps, but thats not usually the case with someone you've never spoken to before. and in this case, why would can and jo /blist him? there would be no reason for that, unless they just REALLY hate it when someone dc's. and seeing as how he dced, they wouldnt be able to until he got back and sent a /tell.
 
jojojo was in my static for awhile. a little loopy and you could totally tell he or she was a kid. dont sweat it, just some stupid kid antics. what you gonna do.

good rdm tho, always kept shit together for our party. i got nothin against that person other than the maturity level, which is to be expected in any game. get over it, it was a bad instance. not worth an ub3r flame.

Why is it that I see this happen so much nowadays. People DC and due to the parties impatience they recruit someone else. And then low and behold the DC'ed person reappears and the party give them the silent treatment or possibly tell them straight to leave them alone.

Yesterday I had my PT leader ask me if we should replace the DC'ed player in our pt. I said hold on for a few because we all know that sometimes Playonline wont let you back on no matter how hard you try. And a couple of minutes later he reappeared and was grateful we waited.

What do you think would happen if we replaced him and having him appear alongside his replacement. I certainly would have felt a bit humbled.

In my opinion its about time people stop being so impatient if someone DC's, give them plenty of time to get back on and use your best judgement when to say "Yeah they definately not coming back" and then replace them. Its just decent of people to do that to their fellow gamer than be an EXP hungry tyrant who stops for no-one.

As for Canadiana he is a great player, cant fault him in anyway on the gaming side, he knows what he is doing. Must say i'm a lil shocked he was involved in this incident and I wish he will think twice before replacing a DC'ed pt member. Dont get a negative impression of him as far as doing his job in a pt goes, he will pwn those mobs for ya :P

I think it's really sad that some people will immediately replace others if they DC (especially with SE's recent random-mass-disconnects..)
Though, in another sense, there's no proof that they're coming back, or if they didn't, maybe, force-disconnect *coughshinryukencough*...
 
I think if they are gone for more than 5-10 mins then they should not be suprised if their pt has replaced them. Especially if it is an area that is easily accessable - unlike vally of sorrows...

Anyway...yeah people should wait at least 5 mins before replacing...i mean its not as if 5 mins extra downtime will kill you. But if you take longer than that then you really should just take it like an adult (and possibly kick your computer...)

Although not telling them you replaced them is just childish.

So yeah...where are jojojo and candina (sp?) with their side of the story :?:
 
I replace depending on a few things. In no specific order: how good they are at their job, if they dced kneeling or not, if the red dot showed up and how well I know them and how easily they are replaced. If they're a good player I know well and I don't suspect a intentional DC, i might wait like 20-30 minutes. If they suck, I don't know them and they DCed kneeling as a job without MP, I'd probably replace them right off the bat.
 
Canadiana is a safe dude. Known him for a bit, never really had the chance to pt with him since he's like... 5 times my level, but I've done events and stuff with him, and talked to him alot and he seems to be a perfectly fine dude.

As for Jojojo I have no idea who this even is, so I can't really stick up for them.
 
Some people just how they are.

I /tell them to say hi sometime, and I never would get a anwser, they are not like afking, i see them zoning, in pt, and never would /tell me back for some reason.
 
Hate people who don't reply because they think they are better than you or they can get away with shit.Both ways i just forget about ppl like that
