Hey guys! To those members of Zakura and Shizukakinen linkshells (if they still exist) I just came to let you know I am still alive and I haven't quit yet. This old samurai still wants to level his summoner and try out the "Blue Mage" coming out on the new expansion pack. Just to let you know what I have been doing since I went offline August 20th, I've joined the Air Force. The decision came as I venture to my Journey to the East (from Hawaii to North Carolina). Although the Air Force doesn't need my Japanese linguistic skillz... they thought it'll be more fun if they sent me to Presidio of Monterey, CA (google it if you don't know where that is...) and have me master Korean...<hanguk mal... anio!!! T^T> The syllabic alphabet is genius though... took me one day to master. Anyhow.. I am stuck here for 18 months but getting internet into the dorms (barracks for you non-Air Force military branch services) takes about 3 months. So you guys won't see old Zubaki till next year (i.e. you better level the hell up or you'll be tasting my outdated blade.... Airman style). So far I am loving the military life but since this base services Navy, Marine Corps and Army, its very confusing with all the different rank insignias and new sister-service only military jargon. After I am done here I might get my first assignment to South Korea (more Journey to the West...or is it East???) :?: for 3 years (better start brushing up on those Korean MMORPG's... Ragnarok... yea... -_- ). By the way, this will be language #5 for me (aiming for Mandarin or Arabic when I get the chance to cross-train in a few years) In the meantime this cat is crossing into the ~foggy~ blue (Monterey gets a lot of fog... like everyday at anytime.. sheesh..) Love goes out to my friends and comrades. One more thing... don't ask me anything about what I actually do and what my job with this language will be... Security cleareance, national defense and all that.... <Kim Jong Il is going down... cough*> .
