Yes, I'm sure the thoughts of one japanese player will determine the thoughts of every other japanese player.

Most of em do hate us, watching Na stick up for Jps in this game is like watching a battered wife stick up for her abusive husband. Just continue to get treated like shit guys and continue to suck up to them, I love a good laugh.

Like I always say:

1 in 10 Jps doesn't hate Na in this game.
1 in 10 Na hates JP in this game.

You all keep clinging on to that 10 percent that are actually decent toward NA while the rest of them are assholes.

Balanced hate and racism? Didn't think so....
 
There is no possible way you could prove those numbers.

There is just as much hate coming from 1 side as the other. Both sides perpetuate the war, and nieter side will admit any wrong doing.

such is life I suppose.

Edit: Thinking about it, those items are a majority result OF the RMT. Which, probably was introduced after NA. And that was probably because American's have the most disposable income in the world. Wow. He hates North America because we have more money than he does...?

Despite the fact that the JP bot and MPK way more than NA's do, and that I had heard of them doing it months before I had heard of NA's doing it, the OP(on killingifrit, not here) it full of crap.

i dont mean to be raciest, b/c im not but japs sometimes go too far with the JP ONLY chit (some wont even talk to NA players) <,< . why cant we get along or else i think us americans should do the same back, i mean what they do is childish and like Vang says all we do is suck up to them, to make a long story short i have started putting NA ONLY in all my lfp messages( im probly going to have a GM on me for racism) but its the truth we need to stop being such pussys about it, im sure they laugh at how we beg them to help all the time -.-

You just referred to them as "japs", the equivalent of calling a black person a nigger, a white person a cracka, a latino a spic, etc.

Another thing, don't make those faces, they originated in japan and you know how damn much we just hate them jappos...

You've got the wrong idea if you listen to Vang, since it's only 1 side of the story if you hear it from him... Vang you know this to.

I've partied with plenty of japanese people. Most of them know we make good parties, and most of them don't have anything against us. If I invite any given JP player to one of my parties (if they have their flag up and don't have some sort of JP only comment) I'm rarely turned down because of a language barrier. It's blatantly obvious that "JP only" is a cultural thing. It's an old embarassment that's tolerated over there. It's not over here. They've been excluding Chinese people for thousands of years. It's accepable to them, even if most don't do it.


But the comment itself is clearly racist. Gilselling took off about the time the NA base started because that's how long it took gilsellers to establish themselves in the game. Remember when gil was expensive? That was when crafts and NMs weren't all flooded by them and they had to friggin fish for their gil because that was the best way. If gilselling and the NA release went hand and hand, that rather proves that the gilsellers came before we did since we could not have sold ourselves gil with our 5 day-old accounts. If we became the buying force, so be it. I'd agree with that. But everyone knows the JP and Chinese base supplies the sellers. They supply the selling companies. They supply the sellout fanbase. We are a minority in the supply department even if we are a majority in the demand market. And that's a big if. Our culture considers gil buyers sad, pathetic losers when push comes to shove. We think sellers are even worse.

We are not the bulk of RMT supply. Every craft whore doesn't speak English. Every quintet of dragoons don't speak English. Every linkshell who earns and earns and earns but never pays doesn't speak English. Maybe a minority of us sell our stuff to IGE when we quit, but that flow pales in comparison to the daily activities of those beyond our border.

Probably preaching to the choir here, but let the minority of JP players have their racism. Chalk it up to a culture difference. They weren't founded on the merits of diversity. We were, and we still have the KKK. Their clansmen are just a tad bit more accepted than ours.

valkyrs has japanese members who are probably some of the nicest people you'll ever meet in this game (seriously, Miluti, Junpei, Ayapon, Pharanx... very classy, always polite, and considerate and willing to help us when we need them, even at 8am in the morning in japan, they're up in sky fighting Kirin with us)

they could easily do this stuff with straight-up JP LS's with no NA members, but they don't because not all japanese players are "JP ONRY"

but something i will agree with, in my experience, Japanese started the whole MPK fiasco, way way way before NA ever even attempted it, which might attribute to the way they feel about NA joining FFXI a year later after them, perhaps they feel as if we're invading 'their space', /shrug
 
Its very simple, almost all of the hate in this game between JP and NA is created because we are ignorant of one another, and we are content with being ignorant - thus such things as "JP ONRY". Tools of ignorance and exclusion. Its probably very rare that some of us hate one another because we know each other very well. I would go so far as to say that peoples arch enemies that cross racial boundaries hate each other because they do not feel guilty about being disrespectful, because they are ignorant that respect is due.
