I was wondering if it were possible to download Xbox live arcade from japan. I still want fatal fury......

Pretty sure you just set your location to Japan in your xbox live user info stuff and it'll work.

Tried this but got stuck on needing a jp address. Hopefully I can figure it out. Thanks Skaw

In adition to changing your region to Japan you might need to change your language to Japanese as well.

One other note you might need to make a Silver Xbox Live account that is a 'Japanese' account to download any Japanese Demos or Movies

Googled some hotel in japan and swiped there address. Let's see if this will work.

i used a hotel address from japan too lol. my silver account is Sook On Mi
and thats how i got my bullet witch add ons months before the US did...and i got all mine free, some of the US ones ended up being pay only.

Yea it worked and got Eternal Sonata(Trusty Bell) demo and Zegapain(which probably won't be coming here). I didn't see Fatal Fury Special anywhere but there were lots of good downloads and some trailers that we don't get here. I was hoping they would have lots of stuff in the video marketplace but its pretty empty.

Oh, and avoid anything that says Idolm@ster.

Why? I like Idolm@ster. It's just too expensive. XD
But yeah, I'll try that Japan thing. I was trying to think of a way to use it. Plus knowing Japanese is a plus. XD

No wonder I couldn't find that game. It was announced last year but hasn't been released yet.

Worked for me. I used my friend's address in Kyoto. ^_^ Made her an Xbox gamertag. I downloaded a bunch of gamerpics and themes! Woot. Plus I got to play zegapain and I downloaded the Akumoujo Dracula X: Gekka no Yasonkyouku XDXD Finally I get to play the JP version!! XDXD

Is Eternal Sonata any good? I was thinking about getting it when it comes out in the US, love the artwork i it!

It's...so...cool! lol I have a demo of the English version from Xbox Magazine and played it several times. I like the battle system more than Blue Dragon's. I'd say more but I gotta go to work! ^^ Sorry.

Whats funny is when Downloading from my jp account I got the english version of the demo. The game reminds me alot of the Tales series but I love how you can do different skills depending on if your in the sunlight/shadows. I will get this game.

Well technically the English Demo is out there somewhere... Just hasn't been uploaded to the English LIVE. >_> Bullocks. However a lot of the demos you'll get (and games for that matter) will be in English. (Well, except Dracula X.)
Eternal Sonata, by the way, got an 8/10 in OXM this month. They said it's very wacky and unique, but the game play is like a classic RPG. (Yeah, so what? I'm sure they wanted Eternal Sonata the FPS! Real original, right? Cute little girls with a shotty...)
They also gave it a rate down for the ending....because it's 45 minutes long. It does have New Game Plus (a la Chrono Trigger) where you unlock new dungeons, songs, and characters to play. Pre-ordering it at Gamestop gets you one of 5 faceplates. They all look a thousand times better than the JP one and my girlfriend and I have decided to get them all. (Even if I have to buy the game 5 times... lol I'll give one to my brother and return the other 3 towards Guitar Hero 2 or 3 if it's out by then.)
Anywho, enough of my rambling. This winter is gonna be a great time for gaming!! Lots of cool games out for the 360, lots of cool games out for XBL, and a ton of cool stuff for the Wii. Argh! Why'd I get another job and go to college this winter! Bullocks!!

Whoa preordering gets us a faceplate? I'm doing that today then!

Eternal Sonata is a great game (i love classic RPGs) and the art direction of the game really brings that old school feel to it. Very beautiful graphics and backgrounds. This game deserves a 9 if not a 10.

Yeah, you preorder, you get 1 of 5 faceplates. I'm gonna talk to my guy up at Gamestop to see if I buy 5 copies of the game I get all 5 faceplates.
Otherwise... hello eBay... T-T
