I'm not sure why everyone cries so much over the maintenance that happens every once so often. Maintenance is a *good* thing.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that updates are done during NA midday while it's after hours in JP. I mean seriously, the servers are placed in Japan and yet, they plan on doing maintenance to them at 1 AM? If anything, it's LESS convenient for the company and it's workers, but more for the JP player.

We do server hardware maintenance on our North America servers during off-peak North America times (beginning at 8-9PM EST), and there are resources our Asian and European divisions would potentially need access to during those times.

Maintenance happens. In a global environment, someone has to lose out at some time.

you also have to remember that it would also lead to very bad hours for camping post maintenance if it always done on our "after hours".

If you look at it, it's just a simple work day 9 -5? PST so I don't see what the problem is. . .unless you're a bum with no job who leeches off the government to play FFXI and drink coke/pepsi and do drugs all day.
