jump question

so just to first state out, im not 75 drg, i am a 75 samurai lol but! i was wondering how hard jump can hit, cause i have never seen a 1k dmg jump go off but i have seen a 500 jump and that kind of sparked a question in me on how hard can jump hit?

and i know VIT is a modifier, but attack and acc is still good to have for jumps right? and i would imagine str and weapon base dmg to up it a bit.

i guess post your hardest hitting jumps or w/e lol and discuss! educate my non dragoon ways

A jump is just a normal attack round, the biggest numbers you see are from things like K-club drks using souleater because rather than seeing 5 hits for 200 it adds them up and says jump for 1k. it also gives the full tp for that many hits. This is a very special set up and not what most people are talking about for jump.

When it comes to gearing up for jump there's really not much special that I'd recomend for it, your normal tp gear only switch out haste for more acc/att(since haste does nothing for jump) and if you have some peices of VIT that don't make you sacrifice much acc/att add those (bibiki seashell is a nice example). Also Double attack is really nice if you can get any extra double attack you can add in since it can activate for jump(I'm now 14/15 on ares set!).

What most drgs would probably be looking at for max damage is a double attack (or triple if using homam body) with crits, the vit mod would then slightly increase this damage but it really would only be marginally better than a normal attack round where you happen to have crits and double attack go off. I never really bothered with screen shots of jump damage but I know I've done over 1k on some really weak mobs from salvage.

780ish on a greater colibri once. but had brd and cor in pt so idk if it counts XD

I never really swap out any gear for jump tho.

Highest I've done was a 450ish on a Greater, that was before I got my Str/Tp gears, boss kept getting onto me for tping in str rings. -.-

My highest was on a greater also, for 668. No special jump gear at that time, and only a brd for haste/att. but I also had a freak drakesbane for 2600 something lol. Its all a matter of luck with a crit and a DA stacking on that jump ^_^v
