Yeah so ive been engaged for all of 3 days now. Ive noticed that all of a sudden, EVERYONE is telling me. I mean the usual people are like Daroth and Mistra, but serious im getting sooo much attention its not even funny. My LS is going crazy, this is what a conversationg will look like...

LS - "Fae how much money do you have now?"
Me - "I have a grand total of 89k on me :("
LS - "Total?! Where did it all go"
Me - "Well my mule has 550k on it"
LS - "Jerk. So can i borrow 80k so i can get my ice staff?"
Me - "LOL i thought we talked about this. I am more than happy to help you get it, but im not going to just give you the money"
LS - "Oh you gonna give it all to your little whore?"
(at this point i got a lil pissed)
Me - "Look you are a high level black mage, they are the best farmers in the game from what ive hear. It shouldnt be hard to get a measly 80k"
LS - "That is what i heard but its all (/lies)"
Me - "Hell id even be willing to loan you the money if i could count on you to pay me back in a reasonably amount of time. I got bills coming up, i accidentally sold my hairpin so i have to rebuy it and then my wedding is gonna run me about 150-200k. Im gonna be needing that money shortly"
LS - "Yeah you are just going to blow it all on your little sex toy"
Me - "Whatever. She doesnt even ask for money i volunteer it and then its only like 5k, not 80k"
LS - "Evil Fae"

So that was just ONE of my previous conversations. That was the only one that pissed me off a bit. But on the whole i get tells from peoples brothers that i help a LONG time ago get their skulls, or long lost friends who want to hunt with me (Mithy lol), and my LS, and random Mithra i party with. Jebus its great but when i was leveling ninja i had to stop partying cause i had so many people talking to me. Hope im not turning into a bank :(.
 
theyre greedy n00bs and the fact that theyre high lvl saddens me. Blow em off....seriously...theyre trying to get a free ride off you. If its only that one person in ur LS, blow him off....if its a lot of ppl in ur LS and they start joining the bandwagon and gang up on you....leave that LS immediately....theyre being users.

I don't understand ppl sometimes. I would totally ask for help with something, but never ask someone, straight-out for money like that!

Yeah Fae, I don't like people asking for money (and seriously expecting that you're somewhat obligated to just hand over the money.) If I CHOOSE to give someone money for whatever reason, that's my choice, but I don't like being bullied into giving money just because I have some. I've had many people just ask me for 1000 gil in tells because I'm a high level.... or ask me for my crystals when I'm synthing (now to think I'm cheap...sure... but I'm crafting because I want to level it, and until I'm level 100 in something... I'll probably need all the crystals/gil I need..hehe)

In this game, there really isn't money you can "spare". There's always the next bed you ahve to buy for storage space, or the next set of armour. Or that damn emperor's hairpin, leaping boots, mary's horn, monster signa, one of many staffs....

The fact that a high level blm can't freakin learn how to farm properly is sad. I started farming BEFORE I had my 15 level thief sub and that turned out to be ok. Then again, I guess it depends on how "high" they are and how they got there. I met a 29 rdm once and he only partied SIX times to get there and prefered soloing to that level.... As for farming, it's all about how much time you put into the farming.... I generally make about 10k/hour if I farm and harvest/mine/log.

I don't mind lending money like you, but damn, I have bills to pay and crafts to invest into. However, I do lend money to people in my LS or people I know REALLY well in the game. ....(and I don't have half the money you do.).lol

On a side note, since you mentioned Mistra....that SOOO sounds like what Mistra does..hehe...lol. But she's a good ranger.... :D

it was 2 weeks, im so sorry i went on vacation and don't live on FFXI. ( i eat food, not chips :P) 2 weeks = long lost.. WTF? i don't see why i have to be ridiculed for going on vacation then asking to do something together.

chill bro, dunno why you quoted me, i was referring to his LS. But still...no need to get flusterred...he sounded like he was joking around about you because he mentioned ur name specifically....take a deep breath and count down from 10.
 
Ah Mithy i was not ridiculing you at all, it was just that you talked to me at this current time. I was thrilled that you wanted to camp and hunt and junk, so please dont think i lumped you in with all the other people :D. Plus even if i WAS throwing you in with the other groups, then I would pretty dumb to come in here and talk about it where i KNOW you would be able to see it quite easily. Just making sure you dont think that I think you also want to ride coattails :). Talk to you soon.
 
That sucks about people bugging you for money, Fae. :/ I'm glad I haven't had that problem. Then again, maybe it's 'cause I'm a pretty Mithra. ^_~ But I'm poor compared to you. XD I just have 65k (half the money for my wedding, because I insist on paying for half of it) on one of my mules, plus about 12k on my main. ^^;;

I'm sorry t'hear about your predicament with your Linkshell Fae.

I've experienced situations like that... People send me tells... They see me in high-level gear, or just me at a high level, and they automatically assume I'm rich, and send me /tells or beg me for money.

Then my disciples ward them off for me.

What scared me is that I actually have disciples... I have disciples? All I do is put on my robes, and go around ressurecting people.

Errr...

But, anyway, yeah. That's a bad. A real bad thing. But... at the same time, that happens often.

Oh well... back to the old grind.

*Goes back to teleporting people around*
