Hi

I know you are all TERRIBLY busy in jeuno LFG for days on end talking about Carmen Elektra's tits or about anime with your LS mates and not farming so can I give you a couple pointers real quick?

Bring your own silent oils and prism powders - Im really sick of watching you dumbfucks die on the way to camp, and relying on the mages to carry you like a god damn baby.....

Learn the Skillchain chart - Because in the grand scheme of things what do melee do really? Not as much as the tank, mages, or puller thats for god damn sure....could you take it upon yourself to come up with a great SC for us to use instead of just sitting there waiting for someone else to find one? Everyone should know it, but you melee should have it memorized and bring at least SOMETHING to the table other than hitting shit.

I have really had it up to here with you jobs that just stand to the side, auto attack, and show no initiative....this is why you are easily replaceable and I respect only a few of you. Get your goddamn act togethor and farm for your great stuff instead of whining in Jeuno how no one wants you...

I have partied with SAMURAI who did not know the SC chart...

Totally agree. As a SMN I knew the SC chart. Melees have no excuse. Hell, if you can't memorize it - PRINT IT OUT. It's not that hard.

Total agreement here.

And another thing, people act like setting up SATA for thief pre 40 is fucking brain surgery, it's not that difficult, stop being a noob and get some courage. I was with a first timer past 30 thief but they were quick to learn. We had a monk that didn't voke at the start, and a ranger who flipped out and became a giant pussy. He went from about 500 to 300-400 health then 100 from a "goblin bomb" then SATA+wasp went off to end the SC. He flips out blaming the thief for a close death due to a unusually aerly goblin bomb.

Of course as dumb as he was he blamed the thief and the mechanics of SATA rather than an extermely early gob bomb.

I'm not memorizing no skill chart. This game is for fun, not for me to study upon. You can't expect people to. Just because you have the time to memorize something, or even care enough to memorize, doesn't mean that everyone is expected to. Yes, it can help, but if someone asks me a skillchain we can do, I'm not gonna pull some answer out of my ass. I don't know them all and I don't plan on it.

It's not an attitude. I have no need to memorize some chart. I've gotten to level 52 and haven't needed to know a single thing. Why bother when people won't even let me use all my WS. I've been doing Double Thrust since level 10 and I don't see that changing any time soon.

You don't even need to memorize the chart, so much as common skillchains. If you really have to, you can just PRINT THE CHART OUT AND LOOK AT IT.

 This is sadly true... there isn't anything to memorize really. All it takes is about 15 seconds to ask your SC partner(s) what skills they have if there are multiple weapons. It's not a big "study or memorizing" look at the a piece of paper is it?

damn right!!

/praise Vang for posting this

/praise one more time

Oh, My, God.. Funniest thing EVER(refere to comic book guy off of the simpsons ^^ EVER)

a Sam who didnt know any SC's?......

Lv60 PLD: "HOW DO I MACRO VKE!!!?!?!?111/!?11/1?1iamadipshit"

Dude.... a Sam who didnt know and SC'S?

Kill me now.

I must agree with you Vang, melee not doing SC is barely acceptable in the dunes, but from qfim someone in the pty should be able to put up a SC (i'm still seeing no SC partys at 50  ). What's amaze me is that generally it's a MAGE or me (the tank) who do the work    !

But ... learning the whole chart ... a bit extreme in my opinion (the damn thing is pretty complicated) ... knowing classics SC with your favorite weapon is normal ... but for more "exotic" SC ... the printed version of the chart is your friend.

Yes, I guess that is what I meant in a manner of speaking, to at least have it readily available....it was more a figure of speech...and Lanien, you're a DRG right? Just another reason why more and more people are really starting to dislike DRG as a whole...there are good ones out there yes, but your attitude is Valkrum Dunesish at best.

The whole "It's my game, I pay, I'll do what I want" attitude was supposed to be loooong gone at 30 bro, get your shitty attitude in check. I can tell already what type of player you are and the gear you wear, I have you pegged...I'm sure the 5 people that you were lucky enough to even get a fucking invite from share your selfish views of and enjoy that attitude of yours.

Download and install, I use this religiously on my laptop that sits next to me, when Im in the odd pick-up pt outside static.

The chart that you all refer to, while informative, I believe turns alot of melee off to SC's early on. This plug-in is very easy to use, and the author updates it as SE changes/nerfs things around.

Well obviously you have to remember the chart in your head. But you should print it out, or if you own a guide with a chart that works too. It's not even knowing the chart, but you should know the parts with your weapon in it. Look at a chart enough(not studing but looking at it whenever you need a SC) and you'll begin to remember where your WSs are on the chart. Then in some non xp situation you'll see X weapon skill, then your brain will use this knowlegde to pump out a WS after and make a SC.

Yeah?, and I've partied with mages who can't find a macro for healing, or
sleeping mages, or mysterious afk trips in the middle of fights, or blm
who ask "magic burst, what's that?", or thf's who cant sata... blah blah blah.

so fucking what?

I'll admit I forget to buy silent oils and powders. Since I'm a retarded
melee, I tend not to dwell on those things. However, I'm clever enough
to avoid most cases of aggro so I really don't need the crutch of such
things.

bottom line: the above was mostly in jest and partially in truth. There
are idiots in all jobs and greats in them too. Why do I even need to type
this out. ...thought it was common knowledge...
