but a modmin might want to check out the blog section. A lot of bots are posting about casino sites.

Admins? What are those?

Only broken promises here, chief.

And yet, oddly enough, the problem has been fixed lol.

Have a little faith. :o

Just got rid of 3 years worth of casino requests, explanations on the requisites of Pikachu, weight loss research (could've gone without seeing some of those pictures), and bots posing as single men in Miami. /shrug.

I wasn't done reading about the requisites of Pikachu. Please put those back.

I understand that war is one of those things.

And in the latest news, "dominic" is another spambot that needs to go lol.

What? You're not a fan of his signature marketing herbal premature ejaculation pills?

Spambots? A suggestion on that guys. Would someone be able to put Spam-O-Matic on these forums? If someone could get the admin's attention? As a mod on RPGamer I can highly recommend it. We had a awful spambot problem before we put it in; now it's down to one to three a week (Which are usually caught and banned).

Another idea would be to take another page from RPGamer and make a posting requirement for new members, like 10 posts, before you can make a topic. (Or write blogs) I think that also helps cut down on spam. ^^

I'm familiar with this practice. Although it would annoy me a little, was no biggie. Worked out fine.

That's good. If a posting requirement for blogs/threads is put in, I recommend a notice about it should be placed where people will see it (when you reg, in a rules thread, etc). You wouldn't believe how many people ask "Why can't I make threads?" on RPGamer when it's right there in the rules...I realize from that it won't stop people from asking, but it might reduce the questions a little. ^^

The blog spammers have mounted a new assault lol. Definitely might be time to consider some sort of verification for bloggers.

Morwen smash puny spammers!

Well Shagster, w/e the shit you've been at... they're not about to stop anytime soon. So rather than having our pt admin clean up.. why not try some of the suggestions thrown out there to nab these fishing fk's before they take over?
