Just back after a year away, wondering about gear...

Hey all.

As I mentioned in the title I've been away for over a year and I just got back last month and frankly all the new gear items and changes are making my head spin. I've been trying to re-adjust my gear to a more haste orientated world and I'm looking for suggestions on what's in vogue or better yet what's been proven to improve performance.

Obviously I'd love all the are's gear and the new relic etc, but I don't have any static groups to get them with so they're all on hold for now.

So bearing all that in mind, out of my current setup, what should stay and what should go?

Head: Walahra Turban (alt; O. hat, Wyvern Helm)
Neck: Chiv Chain
Body: Assualt Jerkin, Barone on jump macro (alt; Scorpion Harness+1)
Waist: Potent belt
Hands: Dusk (alt; Spiked Finger Gauntlets, Wyrm)
Legs: Barone
Feet: Dusk (alt; Barone, rutters(bleh))
Grips: multiple
Lance: Thalassocrat (sold mezraq)
Ammo: Tiphia sting
Back: Amemet+1
Rings: Rajas and Flame (alt; Snipers(have to do ToAU for the ring))
Earrings: Brutal and Assault

Any advice is appreciated.

overall what you got is pretty solid and most upgrades you'd be looking at are gonna take a lot of work to get ahold of, not really anything more you can get from AH, but I guess I'll list what possible upgrades I think you might want to look at, you can decide what is within reason to get or not, I'll even include stuff still on my wishlist and may be impossible to get (see AV items)
for tp:
Head: Ace's > Askar > Turban
Neck: Love Torque > ancient torque >PCC or chiv torque (prolly don't need that 5 acc on PCC assuming polearm merits but depends where you go with gear in other slots)
Body: Ares > Aurum > Askar > assault jerkin
Waist: Sash >Speed/Velocity > Swift > Wyrm >Potent
Hands: Dusk+1 > Homam or Dusk (depending how much acc you're at)
Legs: Homam > Dusk > Barone (14 attack > 6att+2STR)
Feet: Homam > aurum (I think homam should beat aurum) > dusk
Grips: situational but mostly just use pole grip
Weapon: Relic/mythic > Valkerie's Fork >Thalassocrat
ammo: black or white tathlum(depending on possible 6 hit build) > Tiphia Sting or Smart grenade
Back: Cerb Mantle+1 > foragers > Amemet+1
rings: Rajas + mars > Divisor > Ulth > flame or snipers depending on acc should be fine

for ws check out heca and ares, but some askar or AF+1 peices not bad either, I'd rather not get into all of what is best ws set for each ws at this point, especially with the new drakesbane I'll hopefully unlock soonish which has a very strong STR mod but can crit as well.

looking at this I see dusk legs and swift belt as probably the easiest upgrades(yes I know swift belt drop rate sucks) beyond that I'd recomend trying to get into ZNM, limbus or nyzul groups for further upgrades if you want.

In terms of getting the most done with a small group nyzul is probably the best, it only needs 5-6 people and not only can you get several nice peices for drg but can also look at getting Drakesbane which looks like is very likely to replace penta thrust.

Thanks for the advice Jakey, it's been pretty difficult picking my way through all the gear they released since I've been away, seems like everyday there's a new piece I'm noticing for the first time, and I thought I was behind before I left!
