So our party decides to go out to Ulegerand Range to exp. Our blm/whm, Kariri, was the only one in the party none of us had partied with before. On the way, the blm catches aggro. No horribly big deal since the way sucks anyway and is trolled by true sight mobs. The thing is, our pld came back to help and got to the blm first, vokes the mob off him, and then what does Kariri do? Since he was whm sub for one thing, you'd think he'd stay to at least help heal until the rest of us got there to help kill the mob. But no... he takes off somewhere, healing only himself, while we are all en route to help him out. Our pld dies (was a blm mob) before we can get back to help him, as he was alone.
None of us says anything, though this irked me a lot... you don't just leave someone who comes back to help you. We just raise our pld, and get to camp. Once we get there, we're fighting Demons, Molochs & eyes and doing just fine. Thing is, the blm keeps missing MBs. Like regularly. We had a rdm who could burst on light, but somehow the blm couldn't quite handle it. When he did burst, he had a hell of a lot of mp and yet used lower tier spells so the burst was weak. This in and of itself was annoying to say the least, but what's worse is that at level 75 this blm seemed to have not only a difficult time MBing, but seemed to have no concept of hate control. He was pissing away high level spells early in a battle instead of for MB and taking hate at the beginning of almost every fight. The only reason he wasn't booted and replaced is because there wasn't a decent replacement alternative seeking. We put up with it because the rest of us were good enough to make it work despite his apparent lack of skill. But then the clincher is this: after a couple of hours of decent exp and no problems other than a garbage blm, a pop Moloch (sp?) aggros on a pull with a Kindred Black Mage. We all start to do our thing to handle the situation when this idiot blm up and warps out. No warning, no nothing and disbands and logs. So the rest of us, confused and now really ticked off, finish off both mobs and decided to disband rather than try to bring someone way the hell out to Ulegerand.
Not too long after, when I did a /sea all for this tool wanting to add him to my blacklist, I saw that he had logged back in and was in W. Ronfaure. So I sent him two tells: "That was a pretty crappy thing you did. Mind telling me why you abandoned your party like that?" To which the weasel responded by setting his status to Away.
I guess the thing is, there's always going to be people who don't know their jobs even at 75...and there's always going to be someone who is a dick just because they can be. But I'm a firm believer that what goes around comes around... and I hope as many people as possible take notice so as not to waste their time and effort with this person who lacks so much as a shred of common courtesy. BLM. Kariri. You'd be wise to steer clear and your party will be better for it.
