My set of 3 people are driving me nuts. I keep switching everything up, and I keep switching my people and it's not working out.

I originaly wanted to have the 3 people: Vaan, Fran, and Basch.

Basch is a hardcore DD and WAS going to be a back up healer, but the damn gambit system kept screwing me up. I had first priority attack, second cure. In fights, he would JUST attack. Never cure. I didn't get that, and i got frustrated.

I need a healer in the party, because potions and items like that are really expensive to constintly use. I was hoping Basch could juggle both, but he can't. So i thought find, Vaan can be a pld type person, but i HATE healing, and I manualy use Vaan, so I don't want to be healing all the time and feel like i'm being a whm throughout the game.

Fran was going to be a black magic / arcane user. But her mp ran out SOO FAST. And its not like you can buy ethers.

So now i'm having : Vaan, Basch, and Ashe. Ashe being a pld, her number 1 priority. Vaan, either DD/time magic or DD/Dark magic. And Basch DD/time or DD/dark. I have to pick.

I'm definitly going to use Vaan, and Basch. The third person is optional.

SO ---- My question: Can anyone find a way where I can have:

- A DD/healer who does both in battle equaly?
- A DD/time person who will use haste when needed, and NOT constintly cast it.
- A DD/some kind of DD magic who can maintain mp.

Mp is a big problem, gotta look into that quickining thing. Thank you.

And for further info that might help, I just rescured Penelo. Thanks.

K, for cure Gambits...

Cure needs to be the highest priority... if Attack is above Cure, he will -not- cure until the mobs are all dead.

So, Ally HP <40% (or whatever number you find fitting) Curaga (or Cure)
Foe: Critical HP - Attack (He will attack mobs near-dead, to finish them)
Foe: Party leader's Target
Foe: Nearest visible (so, if you're busy curing and not fighting a mob, he will find a mob and attack)

For haste, all you need is:
Ally: Any - Haste

They will not haste someone who is already hasted.

For DD Magic, I'm not sure of any way to keep their mp up... there is no gambit like "Self MP>50%" only <50%... I'm not sure if I can figure out a way to have a Black Magick user, but I'll look into it.

Hope this helps.

For DD/Healer in the gambit menu put cure as 1st priority.

As for DD/Hast I use the gambit Self---> Haste (Protect, etc) They never spam it for me, only recast it for when it wears off.

DD/Blm Magic I nvr used blm spells, only physical, and quickenings heh. With the exception of some bosses who gets immune to physical damage. I would use blm spells if you have a mob with elemental weakness.

For example if the mob is weak to wind, have Foe: Weakness of wind(Something close to that) ----> Wind spell. Put the blm spells on the 2nd, 3rd priorities, not the 1st.
