As shitty as gil sellers/buyers are, it's a lot harder to stamp out than people who are blatantly cheating. It's not like people are sending tells to them, "Hay I wantz 2 bi gils." Everythings done outside of FFXI, aside from the actual moving of gil. But if you want to ban everyone who does that, you're going to have no one playing.
 
True but still damned annoying to those of us who get gil fairly.
 
I think the Rank 1 no sub one's are the one's Pes is pointing out.

Shot in the dark, but probably a desparate attempt to get more workers to monopolize even minor things so they'll be able to have some sortof sale dealy this December. Most of their players are too busy parking in SSG or at HNM camps to be monopolizing Poisonhand and crap. I know some of them have already tried selling popular EX drops like Assault Jerkin and OBow to players for ~800k. Heard They do this with Ungur Boomerang and Joyeuse, too.
 
I saw them all at Ungur not too long ago. They beat us to Sith, then came while we fought Ungur. Dosen't seem the most profitable place to lurk moar and get a pay-for-drop.

there was some JP bard that did that when i was lvling pld...can't remember his name xD

And on another note...why do gilsellers always start in Bastsuck?
 
I ran past a dead player the other day. I started resting, so i could get mp to raise him. While resting, I /check'd him out.

lvl 1 taru start body and legs
lvl 1 club
nothing else

24 rdm no sub rank 1

I think his name was Basin or Basil or something like that. Needless to say, I left him dead.
 
Hey, if you want everyone thats rank 1 for X period of time banned, Jsoft should've gotten the boot years ago for being Rank 1 until level 50.
 
I saw a group of people about a week ago, in Valkurm Dunes, with names like "Hgkrosrjrsm" (like they mashed random keys). It wouldn't have seemed suspicious, had it not been 6 people in 1 group, all with those type of names, all from the same nation (San d'Oria, I believe), and all subjob-less. You'd think they'd at least try to hide it, a bit better. >.>

You can hit chain 3 there, windy is best place to make gill to start. Bastok is best for exp will lv 15. Sandy is to lol at those turlte necks :P
 
yeah i saw these guys in qufim island they seem to have an assortment of jobs at the sam lvl, they mostly seem to be preparing themselves for the hunt of high money mod overcamping NMs and futher curruption of our server

edit: FYI the jobs with no subs are the sellers
 
I think everyone needs to accept that SE will not be getting rid of all the RMT accounts. Why? Let's just say there's 150 RMT accounts per server (I'm probably firing low, but whatever) and there's 32 servers. It's basically $13 a month for FFXI. 150 accounts * 32 servers = 4800 accounts FFXI-wide * $13 = $62,400 PER MONTH is what they make. And let's be honest, there's probably more RMT than that. Yeah, I can't see them really caring about the problem when they're the ones who are making over $60,000 per month alone coming from them.
