Katamari Damacy

Yes, I'm frantically searching every store on S. Washington today after work, just for this game. After watching movies of it on IGN last night, I decree I MUST have it.

Uh, I was at EB today and I saw this game, the box art was quirky, and they had it set up on the PS2. My question is...

WHAT IS IT? I mean, seriously! What genre is this game? What's the point? Why do the graphics look like Animal Crossing + extra pixelization? Why would I want it?

(Edited because apparently when I was typing this "art" was spelled "are", I have seen the error of my ways and gone with the conventional spelling of art >_>)

if they still have it at my local EB (they did yesterday) i'm going to pick it up...it's only 29.99 CA so why not? It sounds super quirky and has been getting fave reviews at various online gaming mags.

Moved to Offtopic section. And I got a chance to play it at the store I work, its fun, but everyone says its short, like as one weekend short, I would look to rent it instead.

At least rent it its absolutely fun.

Your a pint sized prince rolling objects into a sticky ball. Each level advances the Time Limit and the size the sticky ball (called a katamari) needs to be to complete the lvl. I wont spoil the admittedly distrubing plot other than that :P AS for length i think theres 15 or so lvls, some of them have special requirements, i.e. collect as many fish as possible.

Its only 20$ US and replay value is infinite as the level will never play twice the same way.
