homophobic, former christian musician and pastor's daughter katy perry... is an enormous twat. Girls kissing is hot and sells records - boys kissing is gross and those that fit the archetype should hang themselves with a scarf. She hasn't even really kissed a girl! A big nay for repackaged bubblegum pop, please.

She's not homophobic at all, I really like her music and she sings about things that are more controversial in an ironic way, you're taking what she says too literally.
 
I just saw her at Warped Tour last week (Why she was on Warped Tour is beyond me...) and sadly, I found her slightly entertaining. That, and whenever I hang out with my female friends and that song comes on, they all start kissing each other, and who doesn't love that?

One of my stupid friends likes Tatu. Fortunately she's the only one, and the rest of us absolutely hate those dumb bitches, so we never let her listen to em when we're around.

Is there any post where you don't use the word "bitch" or "twat?"

The point of her music is that people will listen to a song titled "I kissed a girl" sung by a woman, but not "I kissed a boy" sung by a man. Her music revolves around mainstream stereotypes.

As for TaTu, their "image" wasn't their choice, it was their producer's choice to portray them as lesbians.

When you don't wanna do something, but you let your producer or your label or whoever make you do it anyway in order to make more money, that's called being a SELLOUT.

Not to mention their music just plain sucks.
 
I obviously don't listen to enough shitty music because I have no idea who this twat is. Needless to say, from the descriptions in this thread I would likely label her as a twat bitch as well. I had a roommate in college that would find tatu videos and watch them on mute. He was kind of weird as it was, but that's a different subject altogether.

The 23-year-old's smash song I Kissed A Girl led Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart for its seventh week on Thursday.

The chart-topper is now tied with The Beatles to become the longest-running number one in the rock era for her Capitol Records label.

The Fab Four ruled for seven weeks in 1964 with their hit I Want to Hold Your Hand.
 
There are plenty of reasons to lose faith in humanity, but this isn't one of them. Just think of the marketing muscle that can be exercised to keep her song at the top and cry yourself to sleep. When you wake up, splash your face with cold water and remember that, 100 years from now, people will still be playing The Beatles and her memory will have long since faded to dust.
 
Actually what sucks is, its only gonna get worse. Just like the hundreds before her, there will be thousands after. Fuck people with no taste.
 
I don't really like the song, and I think a lot of people like it for the wrong reason. Having said that, I don't really care how well it sells and how long people enjoy listening to it. I don't like it so when I hear it on the radio, I change the station or listen to mp3s or something, problem easily solved.
