Today Kayleen's Sketchbook thread was moved to Off Topic from Fanworks.

There are tons of really good drawings in here. Exactly what is the ratio of art to commentary/chatting for something to be allowed in Fanworks? There are plenty of threads that have a lot of chatting in that section, this one probably has a little more. Just to clarify, though, I'd like to know, so that way no one else's art thread gets moved.

I mean, the only guidelines I can really see for having a post in that section is "Fan artwork, Fan fantasy, screenshots, etc." This thread fits IMO. Maybe the guidelines need to be clarified.
 
I suppose it is unlimited if it all refers to the sketches and such. However, I saw stuff in there that seemed like it should be in GD, GT, Event Scheduling etc... All in all, I think this is best settled between Kayleen and Tenkax.
 
I agree with your recommendation for getting resolution for that particular thread. I would like to know if there is or could be some type of general guideline to ensure this doesn't happen again.

Granted, it isn't a commom occurance, however I find its better to be proactive than reactive.
 
The only proactive solution I can think of, is as feasible as reactive handling. I'm trying to see what OP wants and how it can be done. I'll just need some time.
 
Even if I didn't participate in the thread.. I loved reading comments and seeing Kay's fanarts...I don't see how that was "non-FFXI related". I don't think moving it to off-topic was needed. A solution has to be achieved, between the OP and the mod who moved it. I want more Kay's fanart!
 
I think it should go back to Fan-art. Doesn't matter whats all discussed in it, the fact that its main intention is Kay's art means it should be in fan art, imo.

Agreed. Are you going to move every derail flameboard thread to off-topic now?
 
I see now why being Admin sucks. It is definitely hard to present a unified front among moderators that all think individually. Tenkax moved the thread. The thread was off topic a lot. I defend the move, but I think he would agree, it isn't worth losing contributors over a dispute to the location. This is in lieu of complications regarding the topic itself, which I found none here.

Kayleen, if she would like, may continue when she has time and the will.
