Keyboard question/help

My friend Lenneth fucked up his computer some how and now his keyboard isn't working. He's using some onscreen keyboard type thingy atm. He wants to know how he can get his keyboard working again. He doesn't know what he did to cause it. He just told me he turned on his computer and it wasn't working, he's restarted, run virus scans, switched around cords, and w/e.

Any got any tips?

Has he had the keyboard for awhile? They do go bad sometimes. :/ Or the port could have gone bad. Has he tried plugging any other devices into that port to see if it works?

If you have another keyboard laying around see if it works... If its PS/2 (the round plug) makes sure all your pins are straight. If its USB it should work right away, try another port.

dont haveanother one, ifit helps my keyboard wrorks for the first few seconds then shuts off then turn on but not responding ,yeah im not gong to bother w/ grammer/spellingwhile im uin this[for all thse nazi out there]

burned out the board, get a new one. I recomend Mine

You should get a cheapo $10 board, they tend to last forever... but If i had to give you my opinion, wait til May and get the Microsoft Ultimate Keyboard 6000 for like $130

I found a keyboard that I can fold up and put in an envelope. It also is spill resistant and I can wash it if it becomes errrr, sticky. Cost: $14.99+tax...lol
