Killzone 2

What is XYA?

It's our super cool fps clan that started in CoD4. Of the thousands of thousands of matches we must've played, we may have only come across one or two clans at the max that have the same skill as us.

I honestly like the controls as they have grown on me in the campaign. I feel heavy and agree with Anttaru with all his posatives. I really feel the game will die out faster from n MP stand point due to these same controls tho. Again this could be a legendary online shooter if they just tweaked it.

To be honest, if they'd just take off accelerated aim I'd stop my thoughts of thinkin' the game is a -total- piece of shit down to just a so-so status. I can deal with a bounce, even though I detest it, but accelerated aim is for baddies, it's just a crutch that I don't need nor want.

I hope they give you anything you want, cause if they do, everything else they offer would be novelties, maybe even really nice ones too.

I think it would be exciting if Guerrilla gave us several new activities including MP Campaign and split screen. Looking at how much Killzone 2 means to the PS3, I'm guessing they'll be rolling out the goodies over time for sure.

If they are going to give us the option to create teams as we want, it might really be a good idea to let us scrap with and against our buddies with strangers for awhile first, cause when the option to do this arises, it would be pretty interesting to see who is rolling with who, and what people we picked up along the way.

Apparently there are high hopes for this game. I think if/when rumors of what the people are asking for are on the way, it will create hype. I personally like hype, it use to turn me on and I'd be satisfied when i got my games, and it would be VERY entreating if the hype were to become a reality for KZ2, cause it's still growing on us, and games like this is suppose to evolve.

Yeah i just want tweaks. I want to play this game for a long time. I just simply will not be able to because the community will die out if they do not address these issues.

With Strids link tho it appears they are allready sifting through them... I must say if GG is ready to look over and fix these issues this fast... I am impressed. That would be bungie like in response time, we can only hope its bungie like in response quality.

I kind of figured they'd get on the ball with a title like this. Every game the PS populous has dubbed as bein' their Halo has simply just fell in its own poo-poo. Killzone 2 -could- be a great game and is 100x more badass than Halo could ever imagine it's just the "innovation" has crippled it to what seems to be a significant amount of us.

Luckily for G.G. they wont have to send their patches and fixes through a nasty regiment of MS like certification checks and that'll be, if they do fix what needs be fixed, what'll set them above Bungie, imo. Hell, they addressed the bots in MP the first night and the lock-on with the shotty the next day. They're showin' they care and fast. Even if they don't fix the atrocious reticle movement I'll give them credit for bein' more on the ball than any other dev out there, but at the same time I'll curse them for makin' a cool game a piece of trash.

I can't believe though they didn't make a matchmakin' and party system right off the bat. I know the PS3 enjoys its similarities to PC interfaces, server selection, but a game like this needs matchmakin' and rank balances in a ranked settin'. It's funny how on every game I've ever played on the PS3 the servers that mention "noobs only", "beginners", etc. have mostly high rank douche canoes lookin' for cheap kills. They normally aren't that good but it's still annoyin' to know they're there and tryin'. The only problem I have with it is, like a game I joined this afternoon, all of us, for the most part, were only normal Soldiers and Medics and then 3 people on the other team were snipers just pickin' us off before we could even move. A game with classes needs to have checks and balances and they shouldn't always be left in the hand of an unexperianced host.

I'll tell you what I do like that they've done though, pertainin' to classes. I like that an opposin' Saboteur, when dressed as a friendly, is easily distinguishable as a foe if you pay attention to your radar. When I heard about that class and their ability I got mad rage in my blood from my Team Fortress 2 days. Not that they were a dominate class in TF2 but they could be so damn pesky in high numbers while in a pug team.

You know what Killzone has 100% proven to me also... The PSN community is the same group of douches as the Live community.. PSN supporters used this as their sheild... "Live is full of children and racists...". Dude thats all i find every day in every killzone room lmfao. I said it in one post its the game that brings that specific crowd not the online service.

And Strid the MS certification checks are a double edge sword... While at times they are painfull for a dev and can limit the product we see... They also make sure each and every thing we do see is quality. But heh believe what ya will.

I was gonna bring this up to but I figured I'd done enough bad mouthin' for a day. So since someone else feels this way, I'll say what I was goin' to say. On Xbox Live I always have my headset on, and I rarely run into problematic people. In KZ2, I have my headset on but sittin' right next to me, never in my ear. The people I've met and played with that have mics have been tons and tons worse than the people I have met over my years of Xbox Live gamin'. It's not just KZ2 either, it's Socom, MGS4 (when you actually run into people with mics), I'd venture to wage every damn game on the system with versus multiplayer at this point.

Oh believe you me I get it, but that will help come to help G.G. It's why I do not like PSN and if it went pay, I'd never pay for it, as it is now. That's why I don't mind payin' for Live, not only is the quality of most online play vastly superior, imo, but the worst you have to deal with is a rapid fire turbo controller from time to time and that's cake.

Anyway, back to aim/reticle bitchin' if I may. After spendin' adequate time with the sniper rifle yesterday, I got more bitchin' to do. G.G. wants the game to be more realistic, okay, I -bought- that, but, uh, I guess not for sniper rifles? While in scope, the reticule is -completely- still. When you move it, it makes a bee-line to wherever you would like for it to go, unlike the other guns. While not scoped it does -not- have spread fire. You can count on the bullet goin' center screen, even if you're runnin'.

I'd venture a theory the KZ2 community has a lot more primarily 360 users than any other PS3 game has ever. I feel like it's a double edges sword. You get the mic chatter but you find that behind the microphone a lot of people are assholes. In most PS3 games people aren't very noisy. It's not that they don't have mics, it's that they don't plug their mics in or when they're in, they don't talk much. Why I say that they don't plug their mics in? Cause I find when there's a lot of chatter in a PS3 multiplayer game, that people who didn't have their microphones plugged in beforehand suddenly start chatting.

It's kinda like putting on your pants when a woman walks in the room all of a sudden. You were just kinda relaxing and taking it easy but you realize it's serious business now.

But anyway, if you wanna see the dregs of the PS3 community it isn't on KZ2, it's in the current clusterfuck that is Home. Oh my god everyone there is just a fucking creep. Also no racism intended in the next sentence, but it's just the reality of what I saw and heard... but there's a lot of 14-20 year old black guys roaming around Home(or white kids who have VERY black sounding voices) with their headsets asking random female avatars(who are most probably male) if they wanna screw. When I say a lot, I mean that's like half the population.

I saw Home bein' a piece. It's essentially Second Life 2. So I've stayed away from it entirely. I don't even have it downloaded and never plan to, simply out of principle.

I want to get this but at the moment I only have enough for Resident Evil 5. It's not like it's close.

Going through my Elite playthrough of the campaign now, currently at the end of the 3rd level where you have to secure Visari Square. I must say, I can't remember the last time an FPS has given me this much trouble on the hardest difficulty. It's not the controller or the aiming or anything for me, that's no problem for me. It's just that the Helghast are.. really good. Really, really good. Not cheap good either but, logically fucking good.

Still in love with the MP personally, there hasn't been a match that wasn't insanely intense, I love that. Just unlocked tactician, 200 or so points away from Lt.Col. We need to try and play together Osi!

Ya seriously Elei... We can TRY to play with each other. TRY capitalized just to stress how much this game needs a party system.

Thats great response time. Now make a party system and it wont be broken!

I kinda wanna rebuy KZ1 and play through it again(well finish it this time), or even just rent it. Anyone else feeling that?

Not at all for me.

I bought KZ as a primer to playing KZ2. Greatest hits, $20, why not?

Welp, with the new patch, I can comfortably enjoy the game finally. Aim is 10x better now and so is bein' able to finally keep control of the topped out X-axis to get that prick tryin' to shotgun you from the back. While I was fine to begin with, I finally felt, score wise and K/D wise, I was back to my old CoD 4 self.

The only thing now is the humor of the situation. Fix one thing, make another thing worse. The entire time I played tonight; burst, burst, run off, and finally... bleep (get my kill). I love PSN gamin', it's really, really on par with Live, I don't care what they say /endSarcasm.
