Can't believe nobody has posted a thread yet.

I seriously doubt this gets the hype Killzone 2 did. Feeling like you're trudging through mud with a one ton gun has its limit.

I'm not going to be all that interested in this game until a demo comes out; maybe they'll make this one actually fun to play.

Get rid of the mud stuck to my feet... Take the weights off my ankles... Get rid of my crazy penguin walk... Then adjust some of the very limited setups and this game could be very sweet. Single player was fine for me in KZ2. The mp had mass potential but BLEW so hard.

I thought the multiplayer was fun as hell. 16 on 16, runnin' and gunnin' MP is what it was all about. The only people that camped were snipers, and they were few and far between. Each classes' special ability, like the sabotager or whatever it was called, where you could look like the enemy team for a short time, was amazing. The massive shootouts between buildings, vertical up/down, there was never a moment where my screen wasn't loud and hectic when playing this online. There was even a map where a nuke went off every couple minutes or so, forcing people to take cover.

If they take out the aiming deadzone in KZ3, and don't bother with a "high precision" mode, but just make the aim normal like a Resistance or CoD game, then it will be amazing.

Just got a lot more hyped for this game.

At work today, my Sony rep was telling me that Guerilla asked another developer for help with the game engine as well as multiplayer. Who you may ask?

Spoiler:
Naughty Dog

Nothing but high hopes now.

Aw damn, that's a shame. Still have decent hopes though!

I hated Killzone 2. I couldn't even stomach it enough to finish the campaign, everything about it is pure shit. I have a full copy of Killzone 3 and I spent about 5 hours with bots last night. This game is not Killzone 2, not by a long shot, it is awesome. That horse shit aiming system Guerrilla claimed was by design and not by flaw, yeah... right, it's gone. Aiming and shooting feel much more "normal" here and where they don't feel normal they feel like, "hey, this is kind of new/back to the good old days, I like it." As for the "crazy penguin walk" this is something they didn't really learn from. You still have a lot of wobble, but at least now it isn't weighted, feels a lot more like a Battlefield game's sway. One map has slanted terrain and walking through the map with that huge sway and dealing with everything being tilted (yeah, the landscape is tilted...) kind of made me sick, but after playing it a few more times it leveled out in my head. Overall they learned from their mistakes yet still kept the game feeling original, this is not CoD and it's not Halo, not even close, it really feels like something on its own and it's refreshing as all get out. The class system is still pretty limited, but it works, it works great in my opinion. I could go on all day, but you guys can see for yourself soon enough, I wouldn't want to ruin much, just wanted to get this out there for the people like me and Osy who hated Killzone 2.

Based on the betas, MP demo, and single player demo it is fun. I only really play shooters for the campaign so I will probably Gamefly it and if it seems memorable, pick it up once it is around $20.
