So as some of you know I've been on a fishing kick for the past month, and am working towards my Lu Shang rod. I've been selling nebimonites for gil to buy moats, since I can earn and skillup at the same time.

Well, last week I capped out on nebs, so I moved to the ice pond at Qufim and started fishing up bluetail, which don't sell quite as well but cap out at 55 (Did Sammy Hagar work for SE?)

About 4 out of 5 parties have a PL :nono: but every once in a while I get to pull someone's immortal soul back from the aether and restore their deathly form to life and vigor. Yesterday, I see a shout:

(Raise)x5 (Can I have it?)

So, lol, I message the sole survivor and offer to help. Apparently these guys had gotten aggro from two weapons, and I had to run across the whole damn island raising them, from worm alley to the tower. They had scattered but not zoned... >.>;; One poor dude didn't see the Banshee that had crept up on him while I was casting Raise and... well you can imagine.

But in the end, I waved goodbye, said (Take Care) and was headed out when the party leader offered to trade. He dropped 100K in my pocket and sent me a tell "Time is money, and most people are too selfish to help out like that. But sometimes you help someone rich like me so take this and thanks again."

I'll say that I love the /kneels and /salutes, the (Thank you.)!!!'s and the /bows. They make me feel good and it breaks up the monotony of fishing. But, as the topic title says...

Yeah, I will say, that was pretty nice of you. I remember being in Qufim countless times with jsut 1 or 2 dead party members, and higher levels running by like we were invisible.

I try to stay away from the flameboard for the most part. I have a taste for debate and a sharp tongue when I don't mind it - and some people don't take kindly to losing an argument. I'd rather make friends than enemies.

I'll also point out that my boss, who is a jovial, kind man, regularly trolls the WoW server forum his priest lives on and has a reputation as a total asshole. He does it for the lulz, of which even I must admit there are a few. So maybe Vang isn't a dick, but plays one on tv.

This is very true, my short time spent in the same end-game shell with vang he hated everyone that was "in his way" as skaw put it. but, all the people that hate him never had him on their team. He was always on time, always online when he said he would be, and incredibly motivational for the others that werent. And when Rise broke, it took 2 full weeks for the shell to die completely, and Vang stuck it out till the end.

And about Vangs behavior on the boards..... no comment lol

I've known Vang basically since BoL/Rise, and I have to say, he's one of the most selfless people I know. He attended sky and Xolotl until the break of Rise despite having all the items he needed from both. Of course Allah v2 AKA QCDN would be trained to hate him, as he is quite the elitist. Vang's not afraid to speak his mind about anything; if you claim 5(?) Nidhoggs in a row, he'll point it out as blatant botting even though the group in question will adamantly deny it. Vang can be, and usually is, an asshole, true; however, Necrosis and him are some of the nicest assholes I've ever known.

Nice that you helped them out. Not many people with that kind of heart left in this game. Most part, too many haters in this game. For any stupid reason they flamed people up, and it show their dark side. I know sometime you can post them up but at least for a good purpose to do it. Keep up the good work and try to stay out from the flame section. too many stupid reason in there to read.

EDIT: I've talked to Vang outside the game and boards and he's actually a pretty decent guy. He was always decent to me in-game too. I've noticed he's pretty much only an asshole to another asshole....or someone he's camping against lol

Agreed. I've known Vang since BoL(wasn't in it)/Rise, been pals with him ever since. And he's never even once been a real dick to me other then joking around ever since.
