So I was camping the cactuar that drop shte Kung Fu Shoes with my RL friend Etdaen, and an old LS mate Gregedor (I think that's how you spell his name, lol). Well, while we're fighting cactuars, Etdaen mentions that a sandstorm might be brewing soon and that King Vinegarroon's gonna pop. I'd never seen him before and thought it might be cool to see 18 lv 75's take him down.
Well, eventually we get the pop and Etdaen and Greg take off (no drop :wacko: ). I stay behind to finish my NPC's time by killing beetles. So after a round of 3 beetles, I begin to rest for MP. And then a sandstorm starts. I see an earth elemental, check it, EP-- and decide not to bother it. And then I see a lv 75 zoom past me on a choco and I remember what Etdaen said. I run to check it out and there before me is a full alliance of 75's and one mean big mofo of a scorpion. I took 4 SCs of the next minute that transpired:
Shortly after that SC, I foolishly took one step closer to get the King back into view and got hit by some poison AoE. I Cure IV myself and Zoldof once and Cure III'd myself and Zoldof a couple times...but our HP was still falling like crazy.
Pretty soon Zoldof dropped like a f*ckin' rock and my HP was going down...and I was out of MP. Desperately, I tried to synth a yag drink, downed it like a college drunk at some random party and waited for mp for a Cure III...
...and then a Cactuar aggroed my low HP. I proceed to Invincible, and run away....but just linked more cactuars and Anticans...and got smoked.
But I thought that seeing KV and having the pleasure of getting hit by him pre 75 was pretty cool. Especially since none of the people there cured me, lol. Oh well, fun times IMO! :biggrin:
