Knew it was coming

I kinda don't understand what's so bad with her either. All I hear is people referring to her as Tina Fey and all that's really it...

She just doesnt have the makings of someone who would be a breath away from the presidency, pure and simple. Her track record is horrendous, shes not even in the white house and already shes involved in shady dealings. To top it off, when she speaks she just keeps sticking her foot in her mouth and making an ass of herself. Thats whats wrong with her.

Way to have the mindset of someone from the 50's. GG.
Well I'm just saying might as well loathe em all if you're going to single out one.

You were better of saying it was just a joke, lol.

I'm rooting for Obama of course. I can't think of everything he wants to do off the top of my head, but all the topics I've seen that were discussed about and I read about, his ideas just seem to fit a little more for these times.

Also, there's 330 something million in the states? There's going to be some skinheads who want to do that. There's just not as much as 50 years ago. Maybe in 50 years there won't be as much as there is now.

I hear this one all the time from Democrats. But your perfectly cool that Obama's campaigns in Illinois were sponsored with a man who bombed the NYPD HQ, The US Capitol and The Pentagon. And for a time Obama's pastor was a racist black radical. Not saying Palin is a saint its just your comparing apples to apples here.

Whichever way this election turns out half of the country is going to be very pissed off. At least those of you on the left have the option to move to Europe or Canada and be happy. Where is someone on the right supposed to go?

Yea, that makes a lot of sense. That's the kind of attitude that has people saying "That *** person was mean to me so I hate all *** people".

In my opinion, Palin is stupid, vindictive, and would make an absoloute fool out of the US if she were ever commander in chief.

I can't say she'll do stupid things. Just as I can't predict the future. But I can sure look and see what she's done through her positions beginning in Wasilla. And I can honestly say I believe she would mismanage enough of our government to completely destroy any credibility we have left.

why do people always try to put malcom x in the same group with people like martin luther king? the guy was a violent, racist, criminal, who was killed because he pissed off the wrong people. no i dont mean white people, i mean the nation of islam. just because a guy loves black people as much as you do doesnt mean you have to turn him into some hero martyr.

He was killed by the product he created when he turned a new leaf, it's not my place to say whether his epiphany(from seeing different races of Muslims pray together, etc.) overrides his life goal to create a separate community away from white people. He's grouped together with MLK because of his ability as a leader, the methods taken are vastly different but they both understood the oppression that African Americans endured and attempted to direct it into a more progressive lifestyle.

Malcom X is an ordinary man to me, he would be insane in my eyes if he was adamant after his trip to Mecca and interacting with others in the sense of refusing to change and that he wielded the authority to lead and control a race but he didn't, he turned and he was taken down by what he founded. I suppose that goes against what I said about not casting judgement but it's something I cannot say to full certantity(giving doubt for and against him).

MLK shaped the African American community without violence and stood firmly against oppressors and was more successful.

I read about the assasination attempt earlier yesterday, I wasn't suprised; our race(as a whole) truly has some of the highs and lows on the terms of morality and intelligence, it's a shame for people to put their minds to waste on racism when it takes only one step to think.

Ask "Why?"

The loss of a President is the least of our worries if Obama wins and is assassinated. Race wars will start all over again, and tear this country apart. Of course, the ignorant dicks who don't like people because they're different aren't capable of thinking that far ahead.

Reading over the details of their "plot," I'd have to agree with Rude Pundit: "The actual threat to Barack Obama from Daniel Cowart and Paul Schlesselman, the pair of skinhead dickwads who were 'plotting' to kill him and scores of black children, was somewhere between woolly mammoth bite and polio." They would've been caught and killed long before they got to Obama.

What exactly is so bad about Palin, I mean I don't follwo politics to much, but I still haven't heard one truely negative thing said about her... but I do hear alot of Democrats saying things like "imagine her as president" or things of that none specific nature.

I'll address this in the 2008 Election Megathread to avoid too much derail.

I'm not saying those two morons would have succeeded, the reason behind it as well as the intent is the issue I have.

And thank you Hali lol.

I also wondered why it got so much attention as it was on the headlines for the leaf chronicle yesterday when i first heard of it, when it was a half assed plan to murder someone.

not that it shouldn't get attention, but I think a sign that MLK and other civil rights advocates have left their mark on society is that any sort of racism gets a LOT of attention and companies are very careful to avoid this. I suppose the news becoming so widespread so soon is a sign of that (racism) weakening as a few decades ago it was fairly common to discriminate to some or greater extent(read: civil rights started 1960s to present).
