At dunes against crabs, +5 damage baghnakhs isn't much different from +6 damage republic knuckles.

At CN against crawlers, lv41 corrosive claws with +10 is a big difference from lv40 tourney patas with +11, and mythril knuckles are +10?

Until past 50 against crabs, the TM Hooks do have much higher base damage, but not nearly double. darksteel claws+1 with +12 damage is not near half the damage of TM Hooks+2. From here on, most claw/baghnakh types do start showing their small base damage in comparison to knuckles and patas,etc. But don't base something off one level. People need to get off the idea that lv75 isn't the only level in the game.

I don't know, maybe secondary stats on the weapons? The most popular hooks, TM Hooks, give +10 Attack for example.

Crabs HAVE NO WEAPON RESISTANCE. They just have really f'ing high defense.

I did damage to a adamantshell in limbus with a tutelary, so that should say to you that all rapier types are piercing damage.

That's still only two PROVEN. I'd rather not make the generalisation until a few more get tested.

For the last time, the only way MNK can do any form of damage besides Blunt is through Vampiric Claws. That is why they're so damn valuable. Patas arn't Slashing/Peircing, and even if they were, Raging Fists would still be blunt.

And again, crabs have no specific defense, besides Adamantshells. I don't know how many people have said it, doesn't make it any more true.

Level 31 war, literally no go, just a rapier.. ran into Sauromugue and attacked bats.. did about 60/swing.... level 31 vs EP... I had no other weapons but. that looks like a high number for a naked kitty stabbing bats.. I fully believe Rapier/Fleuret etc are -all- piercing..

I've had confirmation that Tutelary does damage to slashing-immune mobs in Limbus; if someone would be willing to test a Bilbo and a Tuck in Limbus, I think we can agree then that rapier = piercing.
