Know who you are dealing with...

I saw posts from Lukas and Shmedly and I could just not stay away!
Coupled with that skank Galka DW who found a way for a race that doesn't reproduce sexually to be hella kinky!

Quit screwing with the schedule before god forbid someone gets a little selfless with the coin purse and just reserves the zone a little in advance or even flat out just holds it solo on a mule and glasses out to let the appropriate group in. The worst that could really happen is Dynamis prices go back up to the 1m, but hey at least you'd have your schedule time? - Naw, dumb idea.

Quetzalcoatl is a server where the scheduling forum works, albeit less and less with each and every transfer team that doesn't care to adhere. (Yes, I've been the shithead to say it's a guideline and a courtesy to adhere to. But I do also admit that it worked, and while I was here, I never jacked a zone.) You think in the waning days of XI you'd rather work together for something like this, and leaving the cutthroat shit talking to HNM camps, yellow Despots and other old content.

A server like mine, it's a little different and people are used to the minor inconvenience despite having a scheduling forum of sorts.

Here it works, and you'll only dig a nice hole in the ground for the three months or longer you might be here... Make frengs. .-. Alot of people on this server are rather tight-knit when it comes to outsiders fucking with their shit and will put alot of shit against each other on the side to inconvenience new offenders.

P.S.: Some of you might like the spice around town letting them back in for a while, but it'll get old...fast. If you really had to bring them back, you could restrict their posting to the flameboard or make a visiting jail(lulz) section for the QCDN Convicts of yesteryear congregate and eat each other. You're better off leaving them banned. People were banned for a reason.

Speaking of shitheads and since I'm too lazy to send a POL message, any update on the Dyna drama with Odhinn/Elyssa Mot?

Oh and Mei, I still haven't had the heart to sell my Manteel. <3 [:

I thought I recognized your name from somewhere.

Lec's long story made short:

Make friends~ they're that much more fun to ditch once you get your gear and cut-and-run on a linkshell just getting back on its feet.

Because I really walked away from CrystalClear/Sanctus(IncarnationNameHere) with Duelist's Chapeau, Assassin's Armlets, Saotome Kote and other game breaking gear.
Kotsu knew where I stood, the temporary nature of my membership and about my departure. We were hoping for later than sooner, but sooner came.
I was strictly there to help as long as I could until the Dynamis group I was trying to build was formed, and subsequently fell through.
It's nice to see you're still saltier than the Dead Sea about it though. <3
If there's a LS or so I truly owe an apology to, it's to Perseverance for leaving Quetzalcoatl after I noticed some promises made to me in the beginning wouldn't be able to be met right away when Sifex made them sound like they would have been, so I left within the first week or two without giving them an honest chance to get on their feet and deliver.

I'm not asking for an apology; I wasn't even leader of the shell at the time. It just played out like dirty pool - rather than help out a newly-reformed shell that *you* joined, you chose to effectively say "fuck off losers, you're cramping my South Florida style". You honestly think I'd be okay with that?

Either way, it's in the past. You're still you, and I'm not, so we both have that going for us I suppose.

I know this is off of the conversation flow but I felt this needed to be posted

Join terms were that it was temporary to help as long as I could until I was going to launch my evening Dyna LS.
Anything I got from there was freegame for me to get and it was agreed my lotting wouldn't be restricted.
It was understood that if it was a bigger item, I'd extend my stay until a new assist was groomed into the position.
And I agree...it's in the past and we do both have that going for us.

At least he got oranges over there~ :)

I won't go into friend's defense mode here but Lec helped us a lot back with Reliance. From my point of view as a former leader of the said shell, what he got, he deserved it as much as anybody else in the shell. From the companion point of view, I'm pretty sure gears meant jackshit as long as he had fun running with us. I've been playing enough with Lec to say that he's not a selfish guy, not at all.

Half-right my French Canadian friend!
I liked getting gear, but logging in, showboating, getting people gear and having a blast on Vent/Skype was my love of the game.
You can't forget all the Savage Blades and the battlecries in Dynamis.
Now we have more, but they're much more colorful. Ever get bored and wanna see what ole Lec is up to, just holler.
Log on Skype if you want, or I'll give you our Vent info. You're always welcome to hang out.

I know this first hand as well. Lec liked gear yes, but it wasn't first priority. He would rather be in company with friends than elite people, although usually his friends weren't very bad at the game at all.

He farmed with me on countless times for no benefit for himself, these times included farming sessions that were no less than 6-8 hours long....

I can attest to this as well, and completely agree.

Wait...whaaaa.

I agreed with you on something....Don't ever let this shit happen again.

Kudos to Meikolia for taking such a step. However, I don't think it will have much impact on people that don't feel/want to adhere to any scheduling. If anything, it may encourage these groups to check the schedule and do exactly the same thing, run in just before y'all gather and a small group snype the zone to await their comrades on the inside.

As for the 'suggestions' to what SE could do to alleviate the situation, I disagree completely. FFXIV is coming out soon and SE is well aware that there will be a mass exodus to that game. They increased the level cap with this in mind, it offers us the opportunity to accomplish more with smaller groups to facilitate those of us who will NOT be jumping onto the FFXIV bandwagon.

Well that sucks for joo because well we delivered sir. I'm not all that happy with Sifex now days anyways and he's left the shell for his own personal reasons (nonsense if you ask me) but I did what members have asked and are still asking, I kept my promise and i'm still making good on it. Enjoy your manteel darling.

The undelivered promises weren't made by you, love.

So Lec, if you're this magical awesome person why do you come off as a dick on the forums with some of your posts? <_<;

Seems like a fairly accurate summation and analysis to me.

Lec in 2006-2007 wasn't a bad guy. He was everything that Wakefield, jyakotsu, and Tribalinius have said - a good friend, someone who liked to have a good time, and an all-around fun fella.

Lec in 2008-current, though....is an entirely different animal. After he got his prestigious first level 75 and some good gear, it seemed like the "weaker" of his friends could kiss his ass if they weren't keen on sucking his e-schlong. What was charm became arrogance and cynicism; what was once a joke became insulting; what was once a good friend became an insufferable prick. For what? A few digital items? If you weren't a means to his ends by this time, you were collateral, or at least it seemed.

His attitude on the forums shifted in the same timeframe because of a global shift in popularity, (LOL). When he was stripped of a little bit of his rep-driven clout, he became the quintessential hipster, suddenly becoming too cool for this shit.

Least, that's how I've always read it.

I don't know about the timeframe but I won't say Tristam's completely wrong about my personality shift on the forums. Except the reason in which they changed. It wasn't for digital items, and the "weaker" of my friends never needed to suck on anything. It's the "weaker" of my friends who needed more of my help if anything. I was never too cool for any of my friends when I had free time. I wanted some things done and asked my friends to help me, and they've always been welcome to ask me to return the favor when I was free.

I got tired of the forums and became "too cool for the shit" when I noticed how cliquish it was and how I got sucked into the whole mindset and wanted to distance myself from it. I became someone I didn't like, hating people I really wouldn't have a problem with if I met them on the street and because of it I'm still someone most people here still don't like unless you knew me and interacted often with me on a more personal level in-game. Now it's the occasional HAR HAR TROLLYOU, maybe the occasional douche comment which you can just LOL or /facepalm and shrug off...but nothing truthfully malicious or bearing ill-will toward people.

I suppose at best you could say I had/have rage issues, and enjoy making the occasional retarded remark but I don't recall turning my back on my friends except when I walked away from this server to try something new. - And I welcomed them to move with me, even offered to pay out-of-pocket for Ratchicken, Fowonton, Omii, Yamata, Zoltan and some of my EatTheChildrenFirst crew's transfer to Pandemonium. I did tell that shithead Koga that he had to pay for himself though. <3 All of whom I was going to try and push into Nirvana, since they weren't casual players and would have fit in and all of whom are welcome into my new LS, MadGood. (Shameless plug, miss you guys...)

Btw, you can all rest easy, Vang really quit.
