I would like to post a flame against someone who is either Japanese and arrogant, or just NA and arrogant and a whore.

Kood, a lv 70 pld+, was in the same area i was in oztroja while i was camping Mee Deggi... And I got the claim with my crabfamiliar, however another mob aggroed and I decided to fight it, so Kood comes around, uses flash or something on Mee Deggi while my crab is fighting it, and he starts killing it. I invite him to pt so i can get the drops as i rightfully deserved, yet he declines and continues saying "What you say, This no NM, I help you"

I repeatedly tell him that its BS, and he just runs off after he kills it, and doesnt say if he got drop or not. He still told me that it wasnt an NM...

If you see this person ingame, show no respect. His ignorance and attitude and what he did justifies the means. Thank you for your time.
 
Eh...that is a pretty shitty thing to do. But, well, in all honesty, if it's not fully "claimed" then technically it's not anyones until someone rightfully claims it. Now, I'm not defending him, so don't get angry or anything, but I do see where you're coming from, that was rude. I still say (like I've been saying for the past 2 years) that one should be able to fight at least 2 monsters at once, and have them rightfully "claimed", as in no one else can attack them or anything. I mean 2 monsters would make it a lot easier for soloing, but it wouldn't make it so easy as you would fly up in levels, it would just make it more standable.

Never split your attention while fighting a NM. Not saying he was right for taking it from you, but when the other thing aggro'd you should have stayed locked on Mee Diggi and waited for it to die before moving on the the next mob.

It sucks, but it's understandable.
 
Not to be too big of a douche about it or anything but you obviously didn't have your heart in the hunt for this to have happened :P

Pro hunters don't let their NMs go anything but red; unfortunately what happened to you, while tactless, was fair game.
 
Yeah man, if you are a beastmaster, I'm not familiar with your name yet.
You should know when you fight a mob and your pet fights another, both
mobs flip from red to yellow and back as they get hit.

Tips when having a pet:
Just make sure you are tough enough to take the hits til the NM is dead.

Tips when you don't have a pet (and the link is charmable):
Keep whacking the NM. Move around to where you can see the attacking
link. Use the (alternate) charm macro "/ja "charm" <st>" I think it was <st>.
I'd have to look at my macro table but it allows you to charm while still
fighting and you don't loose claim AT ALL.

In the case of Mee Deggi, I bet it was a Yagudo link; can't charm those.



Something Kind of similar happened to me. Whenever I gain a level, I think
I'm superman suddenly. I hit 70, got bored and went after Waraxe Beak
without my CC jug pets. OOPS. I was /thf so I was fleeing but he has
a draw in move. A samurai "Atill" went by and wouldn't help. I died.

I expected him not to assist. I might not have either. He was 75sam/rng
and must've thought he can take him. His corpse was next to mine.


Now that was funny.

I think Kood is one of those new gilsellers that just randomly appeared one day and leveled like mad.
 
I do that all the time on the morion worm. Most of the people that fight it are either a) a mage or b) a douchbag or c) that one chick that is always there. When some mages fight the morion worm they back away and cast. well that is a big no no, and it will go yellow. Well I pull out my club and start wacking it, and if they stay around long enough to see me kill it I'll give them a chunk of iron ore and wish them luck on the next pop.
 
Meh cant really blame him. Shitty thing to do but i know when i used to camp Poisonhand like mad, i used to sit hoping it would go unclaimed for a second. lol

You obviously don't hunt NMs. Everyone who does hopes just for that very moment that it would go unclaimed. Sorry but that is the basics of it, and if you do hunt NMs and say that you wouldn't do the same you are a liar.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but not everyone steals NMs. If everyone did, there wouldn't be a 50-page FB thread on how several people think it's a horrible thing to do.
