I just finished off another stack of KSs, and i was wondering if there were any LSs out there that were panning on doing a run of one of these anytime soon?

I asked the leaders of some of the bigger LSs, and found out they had already done their batch of 99's and wouldn't be doing more for awhile.

Contacting me Via PM here is probably best. I'm looking for money drops, BB item can be kept by the LS (unless of course that is the ONLY money drop, which i can't imagine happening) or whatever.

I have an orb too. Do send a tell or PM, I'd like to get rid of it.

Got 4 stacks. Yes please!

Wyrm ONRY.

I have at least one orb and could probably grab another two. I'm only interested in the Adamantoise run, I need to complete my Black Belt quest.

Contact me if you're interested.

i need adamantoise runs, i'll let ls have everything that drops except egg, also i'll do runs until it drops
talk to xten in game

95% of the drops from a KS99 are worthless now, so there's less of an incentive to use other people's orbs. We did a run about 2 months ago and there was very few drops that were over 50k, aside from the one item that the orb holder picked. Most of the time that item was only worth a few hundred thousand too. Nowadays, you have to get really lucky to make decent money from KS99's.

The adamantoise KS99 has the most worthless drops of all 3, so linkshells are even less likely to do them for cash. Your best bet for that would likely be to have your linkshell do runs for all the people who need an egg.

So its a pretty safe bet that 3 KS30s will yeild more than a KS99, and be more than likely to be able to be done faster?

Compare it to doing pcc bc with the same rules. PCC bc has an extremely rare drop rate for the big ticket item. If the orbholder keeps and allows the rest of the drops to be split up, then the remaining party members will receive little if any compensation.
Not only do you need 1 good drop to make it worthwhile, with the ks99's you need 2-3 per run. These were excellent sources of gil back when b.hides ran ~8 mil, because throughout the course of a bunch of runs people would make a good chunk of change because of the occasional unsho that the lotter would take, or 2 hides. Even if one 'extra' hide dropped, you would still make close to 500k.
Now with the current prices, the only way to make a profitable run for all would be to have not only one hide drop, but also a shining cloth or something along those lines on a majority of the runs. This could happen in the course of 5-6 runs (emphasis on could), but the likelihood for it to occur enough to warrant an ls wanting to head out for the course of 4+ hours is slim, especially remembering the drops are split up 17 ways after the first drop is taken.

It's a toss up. The drops are very random and unless you can do a lot of runs, there is going to be little consistancy in the value. You could get lucky and get a speed belt in one try, or very unlucky and get 200-400k split 12-18 ways. Bajaratt is right though, there is little incentive since the most expensive item will likely be lotted by orb holder and the rest are probably 200k or less. It might be worth it though if you can get a large group together and do serveral runs only because you can spam them, but it's difficult to do unless you have a large end game shell or make a good pickup group. With a well made group, it shouldn't take more than 25 mins an orb, probably 15-20. At the same time, you can do some of the KS30s though in a fraction of the time with only 6 people and soemtimes as little as 3 safely.

In my opinion, unless you really desire a specific drop, just stay with the safest easiest one unless both options are readily available to chose.

If you're tight for cash, ks30's are probably better due to being easier to setup, more likely to win, and better average drops if you add up 3 orbs.

If you don't particularly need a few hundred k-1m, you'd be better off risking it all on a ks99 for a speed belt/juggy, and potentially getting a siren's hair or worse.

Depends on your gambling taste too, and obviously mnks have their own biases for which to do ;)

We did 7 ks99 wyrms on sunday, and only one orb dropped "good" drops, being a speed belt, unsho, and siren's hair. 2nd best orbs were like unsho/siren's hair. (I'm not considering wyrm beards though, we did get 2 on other orbs which was nice)

Rapidly approaching 5th KS 99 orb. Would love to work out a sponsorship with a group for Speed Belt attempts.

I'm working on a stack my self would love to do this for a chance at my second B.B item.
