I'm sure i can do a KS99 with 6 people. 2 people can duo a KS99 behe it's not that hard to KS99.

They did it via kite/nuke method but with 6 people making sure kiters hold hate would be kind of hard unless you're doing sac method.

I still want to try that sometime.

Let's look at reality.

99.5% still is 1.8 days downtime for an ISP.
That 0.4% of that downtime is maintainance time and 0.1% is actual mallfunction.
An ISP does not count towards downtime when more then 90% of their client base still has a connection.

I'm sorry but your theory of perfect internet holds no merit.

Meaning your downtime because a construction vehicle cut a cable isn't added to downtime statistics.

Pure ignorance. All top level ISPs have redundant connections. Unless they ALL go down simultaneously which I'm sure rarely ever happens unless it's the hiccup between a major power failure and the EPS comes online, that's only a few seconds at best and mainly not noticeable.

I've used the words "rarely" (go off) and "close" (to 100%) but I think some of you just decide to ignore those bits.

Let's get just a,little bit technical here.
Just a little bit

Means no internet for you and your street/block/region until it's fixed but is not added to your ISP's downtime because 90% of their customer base still is connected.
Redundancy or not.

I'm not saying that happened there, but being without a connection for a day even today is not impossible.

You could also do 3 ks30s with 2 people and make more gil unless you get insanely lucky on your ks99. The behemoth ks99 isn't even worth doing anymore unless you need the black belt item.

That picture is unshielded cable which isn't even used outdoors. And I doubt people would go around pulling cables in their house and blame it on the ISP.

But anyway you're right, if a block gets knocked out, that's considered downtime. My point? Uptime is still 99.x%+. I don't see what jumping from cause to cause of downtime is going to do for your argument.

no one has taken into account, a router perhaps? power outage? yes, im obviously in the defense on minmew because she is my friend, but i may in fact prove to be wrong.

It happens more often then you think.
And no that is not considered downtime unless one block is more then 10% of their client base.
Usually one block does not cover even 0.01% so no, even if the block is down for a full week it is not considered downtime for the statistics.
 
If you think 1 day out of 360 days in a year doesn't qualify as "rare" then whatever. I see what you're doing, you're pointing out the insignificance of 1 block or sector going offline which won't even dent the downtime statistics. Alright, but like I said, total microuptime even for that 1 block is still 99.x%+.

As far as dial up goes... almost all ISPs have function within v.90/1 standards and the problem is usually on the client side because of cheap modems and... (I'll stop there).

I give up. Let's just go through what has to happen for Minmew's DC to be legit.

1. Minmew accepts pty invite.

2. Minmew fights and gets all his drops.

Then: Several of these has to happen.

1)
His ISP experiences a connection lost, and the backup connection kicks in, but they fail and the backups for the backups kick in and they fail too.

2)
No wait, the cluster nodes also fail, keeping in mind most ISPs have 10-32 cluster nodes per each main and backup connection for each sub, sub, sub, sub, subnet, but no, they all fail so any possibility of rerouting a different connection from another subnet to patch his connection is not possible because every single one of them failed including all cluster balancing nodes handling the connection.

3)
ISP experiences power outage, and their ESP was concurrently sabotaged.

4)
His dog, mom, little sister chews their cable out.

Keep in mind any of those events have to happen in between the time they finished his orb, him lotting the drops, having to run back to the BCNM since I assume all the other members "ran away" to exit the BCNM and starting the next orb in line.

With all that in mind, don't tell me he didn't DC on purpose.
 
Oh I forgot,

5) his brother ended up in jail and he had to dig out $25,000 to bail him out and because RL>Game.

6) more ridiculous excuses people have used to explain their bs morals in game.
