maybe you should go to bed earlier so you can get more sleep time then. I get 10 hours sleep per night (yep)
 
I tend to stay up too late, normally around 5am EST after getting off work just to play FFXI. I catch my nap at work ^^

I've never fallen asleep at the keyboard before. I have a hard time sleeping in all but perfect conditions. Still, I can understand why people would shoot to do events at such late hours when falling asleep is likely: it's the only time when real life is unlikely to interfere. I know I arrange all my events, my static party, everything - as late as possible or at least after 9pm. Last thing I'd want is to get my team together and get called to do something that I can't refuse. I guess for some people, arranging event times is a lesser of two evils situation. Risk falling asleep or risk real life interference.
 
Actually Kurenae is a dick. Last week my party was exping off the Helm Beetles in nest and he comes with his BST and takes our mobs. He didnt even check to see if their was a party there. I didnt see him run by so I'll assume he logged there. Nor did he answer my tells when I politely asked him if he could move somewhere else. I do a /slap emote after he outclaimed us and then he threatened to "bring his friends" to take our mobs. Which there weren't any left to take anyway lol.

Meh, I always kept my music on low as I was always running Ventrilo under the game and had a CD spinning. I managed to nod off quiet a bit in my static XP PT's. I think Slayer, Euph, Garv and Dragoth can vouch for that one more than once. Things are very repetative and some people just get to going through all the motions and kill over.

You had no business slapping him/her in the first place. Those are not your mobs, as you so claim, and he/she has the right to gain experiance points wherever he/she pleases. BST's have every right a normal party has.
 
Sure they do, but if I see an exp party in a spot that only supports ONE party. I'm going to camp on top of them. Just like I wouldnt if I saw a BST there first. It's common courtesy.

I know this person is NA, I send them a tell and they don't bother to respond after counter camping us in a spot where we were first? That warrants a slap emote.
 
even if you saw a bst you would over camp the bst so you in no position to ask him to go away from the area exp mobs are exp mobs and if you didnt like that you could go somewhere else to gain exp

Periods are cool.

No I've moved camps before when I've seen BST's in the area first.

It's also a lot harder to move 6 people to a new spot than it us for 1 to move.

there alot of factor that you have to consider before being so judgemental. For example how long was they at the bcnm? How long did it take for the bcnm party to fourm. I can understand how there can be some cases where you can fall asleep. Late night want to finish what you started or in the case of party no one of your job group lfp so grit it to try to get that extra exp so the other people can get exp. Large down time big fator as well. For the record the calls dont always wake people up if they in a heavy sleep state, i know from experance:sleeping:

Parties have more options on where they can level than BSTs do since BSTs require charmable pets and worthwhile prey in close proximity to each other. But the BST should have moved on in your situation.

Agreed to an extent. At some levels bst's have a lot more opportunities. I probably spent 10% of my time in pso'xja and fei'yin when I was leveling my bst. hehe. But yeah, you're right. And Crawler's Nest just blows for everyone... As does GarbageShitadel.
 
It's true about places like Pso'xjo, Bostaunieux Oubliette and Toraimarai Canal, but those are rare instances. Great for BSTs since no one else ever goes to those places except for missions, weapon skill fights and the Jelly Ring.

Anyway, CN just sucks for everybody exp'ing there. I know I myself lost my temper in there once... But that was lvl50. And 50 just sucks sucks sucks as a bst.
