how can i clean the crap under neath? can i just... rip a key off and tweezer the shit out?


i have a laptop keyboard btw. flat keys.

tried using the condenced air to spray the stuff out, but hasn't made too much of an impact.

Whatever you do, do not rip off a key. A key fell off a friend's laptop and it wouldn't stay back on. The keys have latches and if you pry it off, it'll break since it's just a small, thin plastic latch. Maybe try taking it to a techie and ask them how they clean it?
 
Theres a specific to pop the keys off and you need to do it very gently.

EDIT- Fun prank... find your friend's latop and flip his "n" and "m" keys.
 
Depending on the laptop, your best bet may be to remove the keyboard from the chassis, wash it with regular water (no soap, but use a scrubber), then let it dry overnight. I've done that with a few Dell Latitude's around the office here and it works pretty well.
