I really like this game so far. The controls to me seem really well done and easy to pick up. The only thing I've had trouble with is ground combat.

You really have to play through the tutorials though. They are a big big help.

Lair's awesome. I don't know what's the deal with people complaining about the controls... I had no issue with it. The locking system works fine too if you're facing the right direction. Anyway, the only beef I have with that game is that once you finish it, there's nothing much to do except trying to get the Platinum medals and showing it off on the Lair Network. In other words, there's no replay value there.
