Well being the nerd I am, I'm going to get a zelda tattoo.

I wanted the words "Power, Courage & Wisdom" translated into Hylian text (Wind Waker style) going in a circle around the triforce....problem is I'm a total language newb. Anyone good with languages want to help me out?

Power = poedre
Godess of Courage = farore
Wisdom = woeke

Couldn't find Courage alone :(
Pretty cool that you're getting a Zelda tattoo....

Where are you going to put it? Can I come and watch? If you say no I'm going to spy.

:shock:

Hrmm...The two scripts are not completely interchangeable. These (what I assume are fan-made) words don't fit perfectly with the phoenetics of the Wind Waker alphabet--they were designed for the 'other' fan-made Hylian alphabet. (http://www.kasuto.net/language.php?main=language/alphabet.html) You can, however, make fairly accurate transcriptions without any real loss, except for the word farore. There is no near 'f' sounding letter in the alphabet you want to use.

Solution #1: Use the alphabet proposed by the fan who created the words for this language, then stylize the letters like the alphabet you want to use.

Solution #2: Email the fan who created the words for power and wisdom and request he make a similar word for courage that will fit in with the Wind Waker alphabet.

Solution #3: Instead of the fan-made language, use the English words Power, Wisdom and Courage with the Wind Waker alphabet--they will be words of an authentic language with authentic Zelda text. This works, I checked it. They'll sound Japanese if you pronounce them correctly, but hey, what's wrong with that?

Here's Power and Wisdom in the Fan-Language and transliterated to the Wind Waker alphabet:

The keystrokes with that font are:
Power: )D:o

Wisdom: rDI
