I know there's a thread already for it SOMEWHERE but search was failing for me (I dunno why) so rather than dig through forum pages, just start a new one especially since it's new out now (at least for 360)

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/43106.html?type=

from that review, sounds like it'd be fun. But boo to the graphics problems (I wonder if the PS3 will have the same issues, my guess is it will only because of time constraints and such, I bet they prolly coulda fixed some of that with 360 version too but I dunno for sure).

Anyone pick it up?

Its obviously made by SE. Some of the monsters look like they are straight out of FF. I was really excited about this game, and i don't think i've ever been this disappointed. The battle system is turn based and strategy. Starting battles is pretty weird too. If you liked Infinite Undiscovery you will probably like Last Remnant.

I picked this up the other day and I have to say so far about 2 hours in, its a pretty decent game with all the classic rpg elements.

Like you said though the graphics and frame rate seem to struggle a bit at times but ive found that downloading it onto the 360's HD and playing it from there has vastly improved its performance.

If you dont have this game i suggest renting it before you buy it.

I've just watched it bein' played and it looks really borin'. I especially hate how the "magic" and "specials" look. They are so simple and made of fail. SE just needs to hang it up on tryin' to make new franchises. They've done nothin' but unimpress me on their new attempts. Makes me doubt FF13 even more.

The Last Remnant?

Anyone have this? Is it any good? Considering getting it.

(Forgive me if there is already a topic)

My mistake. Thank you. :)

I recently bought it it's been out a while and although I'm not that far into the game it's still pretty cool.

It has alot of bugs which makes me think it could have been better off on PS3maybe (hate me all you want). Loading textures when you first zone into an area can take some time, battle also lags sometime maybe for several reasons(?). I think because of the amount of detail on screen and the amount of people on screen at once make it lag. Details (when they do load) are awesome though and so are cutscenes it's pretty detailed once everything loads correctly lol.

Battles are also pretty hard early on in the game as Rush is put on his own instead of with a unit and therefore dies easily. later in the game you can recruit soldiers of an army and add them to his unit to increase the unit HP and stuff so he has more survivability.

Story wise I haven't gotten that far but it's about Remnants(weapons) that are binded to people, you play as rush sykes the child of top two researchers of remnants, your sister is kidnapped early on in the game and is said to have a special power. So the goal (right now anyway?) is to save your sister with the help of the Marquis of Athlum and his army.

Character design is cool...they're different that's for sure lol, and you can optimize Rush in most weapons, a dual weilder or a two hander etc etc. You can also save anywhere which is good since I seem to die alot in this game lol.

Did anyone else pick this up yet?

iam close to beat the 1st disc ... but i may have to restart , i miss one of the miss able quest , i guess ill give few hint if you guys need it

I made the mistake of thinking my awesome three-person union was as powerful as the two badass five-person unions I had before Rush went off on his own. Timeshifted three little mobs and ended up with five unions against my one.
Thank god my save was right after Rush broke off from David.

I picked it up Saturday -- $30 seemed fair -- and have played it a bit. The frequent load screens aren't nearly as game-breaking as a lot of the reviews have made them sound, but they can be a little annoying. The texture loading is something I got used to with Mass Effect, so I don't notice it too much.

The combat really threw me off. The first battles were confusing as hell, since I didn't have control over individual characters. It started to click for me by the time I reached Blackdale.

I'm enjoying it so far. It's certainly different, but they can't all be Final Fantasy.
