This is my first post here and would never have posted on this board because i think everyone can make mistakes but i thought this just went to far.

Heres my story.... yeterday

started about 8 am no work as i'm a self employed painter. Girlfriend was out for the whole day so i thought great, a non home aggro day of playing.

I;ve had a cluster for o hat for a few days after losing 2 trying to dot it by zone with 4 others.... failed because evn 322 enfeebling skill was too low to land bind and grav for more than 50%, so it kept regening after me rdm/nin had to keep rezoning also.
Anyway i got online about 8-9 am started shouting for looking for members for about 1 hour after only getting 3 (including me) i say disband i got your names ill try bit later.
Go to merit for an hour or so....
So about 11am-12pm regroup members start calling again after like2-3 hours calling get enough, we need like 7 - 8 hats get there and start it we /random i get 3rd place start killing wipe on first run few leave wait for newbies after tells do second get it do mine (Opps left mine at moghouse) tells 4th to go kill it then i hottail it bk to get mine while wait for repop. get bk get mine. people leaving inbetween. get nxt people go people come bk blah blah blah.
I say at start that id stay till every1 got theres.... i thought it only fair. after like 7 hours of this theres still 3 people from original party that havnt got theres when after escaping and going to the paintbrush zone for the 5th time to get newcomers (as we always had just 11 min 15 max people for it) i get this tell....

Aalea "If you dont want to be a part of this shell then i suggest you do so"

dynamis leader i had it at 6-7 pm forgot all about it to be honest

After alot of tells back and forth me saying sorry and explaining that i choose at the moment to not take my prize and leg it leaving the guys who ve been there for like 6 hours.

She tells me "just guys" like they should'nt mean as much as their shell.

I explain that in the circumstance i think that they need me more as the linkshell was farming and had enough members to do that but the alliance in den of rancor only had like 11 and i felt obliged to stay with them. I thought this the best option to take.......not to my LS leader it wasn't

My history with the shell is not long like 13 runs at 3-4 hours a run i havnt got anything. ive been late for gather together 1 time and late for entering 1 time to which my lotting rights were wavered. i accepted this and still gave my 3-4 hour of time to the shell. I also dropped a battle therory BEFORE i was told to keep it because i havnt got dreamlands areas and it was told at this time.

So after trying to say sorry for this run she then said
"You wont be missed", "It was an easy desision to make" , "You are untrustworthy"
The last tell really got under my skin as i pointed out that i thought booting me from the shell was over the top and felt she/he was just itching for a reason to boot me. I don't know why, if i upset her/him in any way but it was not a reason that he/she could explain to me anyway.
I felt maybe lotting rights taken away for nxt run might of been good enough but no i tried to speak up explaining in paerl but he/she quickly broke it.
I was mainly furious that 30-40 hours of my time has been spent for nothing (To which he/she said but its not wasted time....wtf!! i tried to get her/him to explain hows that so, got me no ansewer.) and i wont the people of the shell to know there was nothing underhand from my part of this. As i don't know what was said after.
I found the shell very heavy with the constent talking down to its members and lack of conversation. As i know the leaders are very dedicated gamers. Thats fine but some like to meet people and have fun to. And i found this was quickly cut short my leaders. Like in a classroom with kids and teachers.
Maybe all dynamis shells are like this IDK.
So anyways goodluck to all members on future runs hope my name hasn't been stepped on
I'm just so pissed of people taking this game on like some sort of fu*king job. Hell as far as i was aware i paid SE. Not Aalea pays me!
I i've just got to accept 30-40 hours of my fu*king time just went to waste with my GF aggroing me about it... As i do have a life outside this game so every min online is supposed to be enoyable and to progress ingame.

Yea my spelling sucks im at home and working on redecorating the bedroom so no time to check over oooops got to get bk to it

My first run i d/c ed at end and couldnt get back on because of connection troubles missed win therefor.
Scedule is 4 cities then dreamlands twice then northlands.
So in the week i had off for not having dreamlands i tryed to get the win seached this site for LS that was doing it.
GTC is the only EU 1 on here so i had to stay up twice at 2am GMT to try to get win. No lotting on anything!

Another i managed to get in forgot name also 2 am - 3 am start

i'd go back for ANOTHER spelling edit in the post where you rip my use of accepted slang whilst commenting on your english skills. at least make sure you spell everything right in the sentence you use to correct me.
 
Well... that was sort of hard on the eyes to read. As for what happened between you and that LS leader, maybe they really didn't find you as dedicated. If your real life is too busy, then an end game event that requires you to be there always 3-4 hours at a time isn't right for you atm.

Of course, you can choose what to do with your free time, but it's not always worth it just to get AF2 or something that is slightly better than what you already have. There's always trouble with anything end game, and it requires a lot of your time to get a single piece of gear.

Now on the otherhand, that LS ldr could've been more understanding, I'm not sure on the exact situation since we just heard your side of it, and it was a little confusing unless I reread it again. Not every Dynamis shell is as strict though, but it depends on the person, and they get too attached to the game that when they get power over something, whether it's the leader of an end game shell, they'll let it get to their heads and rain down on everyone harshly.

There's many other Dynamis shells out there though. Look for one that meets your time with no problems, and is filled with good and fun players.

So in a nutshell ...

1. lolpickupOHruns. They usually go that badly, so don't plan on having anything else to do that day (like, I dunno, prior regular commitments like Dynamis?) if you go to one and actually decide to be one of the nice people who sticks around rather than bails after getting their hat. It would've also been quite valid to say "I'll stick around and help you guys until I have to leave for Dynamis at insert-time-here".

2. It does sound more like an excuse to boot you than a justified booting, but with only your side of the story (and that moreover is somewhat hard to understand), it's hard to say.

Not quite sure what Dynamis tiny-exp-items have to do with dreamlands areas but just lol at anyone who actually thinks they affect AF2 drop rate and thus insists that their whole shell hang on to them. (It was unclear from your post if your shell did, so I'm just talking in general.)

The things exist to take the sting out of sac pulls for the most part (if you have one sac puller and they get R3 or RR3 each time and eat all the exp items, they typically don't end up with a net loss of exp). They're a separate entry in the loot table from shinyz (if not, then Xarc job bosses for example wouldn't be able to drop both exp item *and* AF2, it'd be one or the other). All that's accomplished by having everyone hang onto an exp item is that exp items will stop dropping.

(Yeah, I know, that was a tangent, but it's something that I always laugh at whenever I hear talk of shells doing that. It's a very 2004-2005 thing to do, but most people know better by now.)

yes we were told to hang on to them because the leader said it affects the drop rate of af2. To drop would cause a penalty in lotting and/or kick from shell.

First, I had a really hard time reading through your post.

Second, no. You weren't only late 1 time. You're always late. Gather together is 1PM EST, and enter time is 2 PM EST. We require our members to be there by 1:45 AM in order for everyone to have a chance to start parties. Gather together is 1 hour before so that people know that they should start to leave their exp parties etc. at that time, so that they can be in the designated area prior to the run.

However, you seem to have had a very hard time of doing this, as you always showed up after 1:45. Several runs (more like 90% of the time) you showed up after this time. Most of the time around or past 2 PM EST. Mind you, we do /sea whore our members that don't show up quite a lot of times, and several occasions you were in a exp party UNTILL 1:45, thus resulting in you coming late. Since we were sick of this, we made the "if you're late, you're not allowed to lot that run" rule in an attempt to make people actually udnerstand the importance of showing up on-time, as it wastes everyone time if people keep coming late. Granted, most of the time we enter anyway and let people just drop in when they log on as we have someone outside waiting. But quite honestly, I was tired of this and made the new rule.

The time we kicked you were actually past your third offense. This is completely disregarding all of your stupid excuses. We also ask our members to post, or atleast contact a LS leader prior to the run if you're not going to attend or be late. Quite honestly, I never saw you do this once. And you constanty came late to the run. I believe ocne you said you were stuck in traffic, another time you had another sutpid excuse. It was never the same, always different. So you were either straight out lying about it, or you're just extremely bad at judging time.

Either way, this was far from your first misstake. We had been quite tired at you for a long time. The fact that you were doing Ohat were just the last drop. We actually had another member in that Ohat run, but he still came on time.

And on, I don't believe that theories affect drop rate, but some other members do. Personally, I don't really mind. I see it more as a test to see which members listen and follow rules and which don't.

The kicker though were when you demanded Aalea pay you for the time spent in the LS. Aalea have got full AF2 and an AF+1, and he's been a member and a leader for over 100 runs. That's over 400 hours just in attended runs, and that's ignoring all of the time he spends working on the LS outside of Dynamis runs. The way our LS work is that we reward dedicated members, as those are the ones we'd prefer to keep. People who often come, and on time, will get the most out of the shell. The less dedicated players (that would also most likely leave ocne they get what they want) get rewarded less. If someone only come 1/5th of the time, they will get 1/5th less then the other more dedicated members. They've proven their worth. It would be more of a loss to lose someone that come 8/10 runs then someone who only come 1/5 runs. If the 8/10 person leaves, that means we lose 8/10th of a member, as opposed to only 1/5 if the other member leaves, thus resulting in a greater loss for the LS as a whole.

Neither of us saw you as a very dedicated player. Thus, kicking you wouldn't result in much of a loss. It would also mean eventuall AF you would have obtained in the future would go to more dedicated members, thus benefiting the LS as a whole.


Yes, you can see us as harsh. You can see us as rude. You can see us as pure assholes and the devil himself in disguise. I can assure you that if you push my buttons and make the runs mroe complicated then they should be, you won't see a nice side of me. The leaders I've selected for the shell are people that I trust, that I know know their roles well, and that I know are dedicated. These are the people I've assigned roles. They will make sure things run as smooth as possible. If we see a thorn in the machinery, or a wheel that don't spin well, we will attempt to fix it. You were a thorn, and we wanted to either fix it, or replace it. My main puller is very skilled and good at it, if I may say so myself. If the pulling don't go well, I know that he will attempt to fix it. If he suicide pulls and someone messes it up, he will fix it. Its not fun to suicide pull, only to have someone screw it up and make it all in vain.

Yes, I admit, we can be a bit too harsh at times. Mainly because we don't (or atleast me, and I try to make my leaders avoid it too) like to point fingers at anyone to make them feel bad, and thus usually talk to the LS as a whole instead of a certain individual. Offcourse there are exceptions, like someone lotting on something they are not allowed to lot. Or someone constantly showing up late. However, in the later case we usually take it to tells first, which we did. However, you dug your own grave when you wanted to "justify" yourself in LS. Obviously, you're an old dog that don't learn from their misstakes as you decided to drag it on to qcdn.

I can assure you, that the moment you want to make an attempt of dragging my members or leaders through the dirt, I will do it tenfold back. Say whatever the hell you want about me, but do not involve my members or my leaders.

Like I said, we want our members to be there at 1:45 at the latest, as that's the time we start putting parties together seriously. the 45 min gather together time before then is mainly for people to prepare to leave their parties, change job, get gear etc. to be there by 1:45 (at the latest)

And I ment 1:45 PM, not AM. /slap <.<
 
Some of the shit you put up with some people in Dynamis, honestly I sympathize a bit. It's irritating, especially when you find members who signed onto you, running off and doing say, Limbus, or stuff like that when they stated on their apps they'd be there on time. It's definitley not characteristic of most members, but there are ALWAYS some who don't fully understand whats expected of them, as if Dynamis is an optional obligation where being late is fine when you didn't warn the leaders ahead of time.

I had one individual who kept warping out, going to limbus, then coming back an hour later. Drove me freakin' nuts... Finally started docking him on attendance for it and he eventually got pissed and left. Leading 40 people definitley isn't easy, Dynamis or any other organized event. Sometimes you need to be strict and not put up with peoples shit just to keep your sanity. o_o

Yeah, shit comes up, people can't always be on time, but there are limits to what is reasonable. It would seem this definitely falls outside those limits.

P.S. Buy a dictionary or something, OP, it doesn't help your case one bit when you type like a fucking moron. Or maybe pay attention in your English classes. Something. Anything.

Pray tell what foreign languages you can speak to that degree? However if English is his main language he's a retard.
 
We've never actually penalized someone for using them. I also can't imagine doing it, because its rather minor. And like I said, personally I don't believe it helps, but others do. I mainly use it as a way to see if people listen or not. It works rather well too, as the only people who seem to use them are those that don't listen to what we say generally, and are also late etc. We don't actually penalzie people for using them, using them simply means we'll keep our eyes out for them more as they tend not to listen.

And no, only a few in the LS (mainly the few NA people, and the UK people) have English as their main language, as we're mainly a EU based shell. However, most people speak better english then Charlo. Usually he speak better English in-game too, so I dunno why he posted like that <.<;
 
Encore does the saving of strategems thing too. I always thought it was unnecessary and silly, but people have their own superstitions. It was kinda funny. We did Xarc on Tuesday this week. 2-3 of the xp scrolls fell at the start to members that didn't have one yet. After that we got like 6 relic. Superstitutions gooooooooooooooooooo
