I stopped reading as soon as I saw that you don't use pharagraphs :(

who Fing cares if he doesn't use paragraphs. if you're interested in what he has to say, read the whole damn post. if not, don't post.

anyhow, on topic... if the SMN knows that he was invited to "play the role" of healer, then he should have just done that. don't be an idiot, check the party member's list, realize that there's no WHM, and play the whole "that's not my job, so i'm not going to help out" b.s. help the party out and Fing heal next time.

i know this is a flameboard...

but lets be clear and understanding when flaming

ease your rage for a min and type properly plz

Wrong thread Ultra. He's not talking about smn's being main healers. He's just bringing up that party again to talk about Launcher who apparently was in that party way back and connecting it to to a recent event he had with Launcher.

It's become clear that this thread has been soo sullied with comments of my poor grammar and stupidity, that the real point of the thread has been lost on everyone completely. I apologize to everyone for trying to share an exsperiance I had with a player. I will try to no longer post on the flameboard, because users have made it clear it's not apreciated.

No yoshindor, it's not that at all. Launcher has been around a while, and so have alot of the people that frequent in here. Post all you want, just don't seem so suprised when a well knowen name (for non-bad/stupid/noobish reasons) isn't swarm attacked by the vultures. Launcher has already got a rep, and not a bad one.

In all the times I have partied with Launcher he has been aloof, but always very good at his job. Not to say that sometimes when you tryied to talk to him he gave that kind of delayed, airhead response.... :?

Anyways ... Launcher has always been an exceptional player the times I partied with him. Yoshindor may have just caught him on a bad day, I know there are times when I have connections problems out of hte blue, and I could see that happening with anyone.

On a side note, I just dont see anyone doing a fake DC with no reason. In a good party, getting decent XP, there is just no reason for it, unless I suppose some people still living at home suddenly have to hide the fact that they are still playing at 4:00AM from their parents.

So because he "a bad day" this ecxuses his behavior on both instances? When I did something I would normally never do because of "a bad day" and a personal emergency people were very quick to ride my ass. I just don't understand why people feel the need to sweep this under the carpet and call it "a bad day" or blame it on technical difficultys. I gave him the benifit of the doubt on the first occasion, and he screwed me over again.
I would like an explanation of some kind. If he is such a great player then why is it every time I PT with him he mistiriously disapeers at some point in the party, and causes it to break.

Then why are my exsperiances with him always soo negative? Is it my fault? Am I somehow offending him by being a 59 in a 61-62 PT and haveing 800 tnl when he disapeers.

Sorry dude, but everyone has days like that with everyone else it one point in time or another. It would be foolish to assume that you are always getting 100% performance out of people at all times.

This is no way excuses the fact, but is merely defending the generalization of Laucher's performance as a whole. I don't think what happened in your party with him is good, but at the same time, I would not say it is common with him either, and I think that is what everyone else is saying as well.

Read the first 4 or 5 posts. Then please explain to me how you got:

That out of those posts.. I just don't see it, I'm sorry.

I'm asking why is every exsperiance I had with him been soo damn negative, if he is sooo damn good. I'm also asking why couldn't this theory of "a bad day" been aplyed to me when a personal emergency came up and I had to take care of it. Especially if we apply

to the mixture. Just kind of womdering when someone will stop excusing this players behavior because "he is a good player" and actually answer the questions on the table.
Maybe it's too much to ask but maybe Launcher himeself should explain his actions instead of other people. I'd just like answers to my questions!

Aside from the first post, they all correct his grammar. I didn't get anything out of them either.

that's what ingame /tell is for...
I have tryed this, he is iether AFK or ignores me when I send him /tell, can you sudgest another course of action?

I hate to say it, but Launcher does have a tendancy to do all of the above. I really, genuinely like the guy so I really hesitate posting here. I have leveled with him several times in several different stages and the above scenario happened alot. Partied with him in the nest once, and the Pld sent me /tell complaining because I (as Blm) would end up healing, which of course made the fight last longer, causing the Pld to be drained. Meanwhile at the end of the fight, he'd have 700mp while myself and the Pld had like 20 mp between us. He would basically cast fenrir and rest the rest of the battle. Also, every party Ive been in with him has ended with him "D/c" not to return.

I know, you should tell him he is the main healer before inviting, but 80% of the time he was the leader and built the party himself....

Again, I really like the guy, and he is a GREAT smn, but I can see Yoshinder's situation easily happening.

I'm sorry to hear that my exsperiances were not isolated occurances. I'm glad that someone else came forth and shared that they have had a simmilar exsperiance, but again I am sad that someone else would have to go through the same thing.
Perhaps maybe now we shall get some answers now that it has been shown it's not just me talking about a player on "a bad day" again I ask Launcher to step up and exsplain.
(on a side note Launcher was on today for about 30 mins, in which I sent him repeated /tell and not one was answered.) I know he speaks some english... why does hw avoid...

I decided that since everyone else felt the need to jump down my throat for defending Launcher, that I would check with others I knew who might have partied with him. It would seem that the parties that I had with him were actually the exceptions to his typical performance.

While all I had to draw on with him were good experiences and none of the above, many others it seems have been privy to worse situations by far. It could have been the fact that there were 5 people to refresh in most of his parties and he felt I could not main heal and do the rest of my duties, or if there were other reasons for him playing main healer and doing an excellent job of it. But the responses I got in game told me of far worse occurences than I had experienced.

In short, I defended Launcher because from all my experiences, he was a good guy and played his job well with me. Everyone else had experienced something different and (it at least seemed this way to me) unleashed on the person who dissagreed. I'll say now that I don't doubt anything bad that was said about him, it seems that his "bad days" outnumber his good.

Launcher was again online lastnight for almost 2 hours and again I sent him repeted /tell and no answer. *sigh* It seems that this problem will never be resolved, I geuss he feels the probblem will go away if he ignores it long enuf. I would still like answers!
