Kind of surpised I haven't seen a thread on this yet! I know we have several QCDN peeps who all play.
For those who are not familiar with the game, it’s free and a ton of fun and can be downloaded at http://www.leagueoflegends.com/
The game is best being described as a RTS RPG and can be compared to the Warcraft III custom game, Defense of the Ancients (DotA). League of Legends (LoL) takes this game style and further improves upon it without the restrictions of the WC3 engine.
In LoL you play as a summoner, capable of summoning champions to fight for you. As a summoner you gain EXP and IP to level up, customize your starting stats, purchase runes for these customize options and purchase additional champions. You can also spend real monies to gain champions faster. The game has an interesting learning curve but it is pretty easy to catch once you get rolling. Each game lasts anywhere from 20min – hour. 20-40 minutes in the average I find.
Champions come in all different classes, so depending on what you like to play there is something for you! Classes are pretty general like tank, healer, support, mage, CC, assassin, ranged dps, melee dps. I personally prefer to play the AD ranged carry in my games hehehe. Although I am finding an AD Eve to be my new love.
My level 30 account alias is: Xnosis
