Well I was on my way to Bastok to help a guy getting a CS for CoP. I go thru S.Gustaberg when I suddenly see LL. I stop right infornt of it I jump off my choco and claim it with stun. I kill it of course (no drop except for a lizzy tail) and start running to Bastok. Thats when I get a tell from a guy. Got a SS so I'll show you all

second, how I make my gil is not of your concern.
If I got that the drop that would have saved me hours of camping or a lot of gil buying the non rare/ex ones.
And about making that gil in an hour by KS99... omg I laughed so hard at you. If u got some way to get 99 KS in 1 hour plz let me know otherwise GTFO!

At first, with his "you could easily have made that money somewhere else" comment, it seemed to me as though he was intending to hunt Leaping Lizzy for profit. I thought this was going to be a flame about him not being hip to the fact that that Lizzy now drops a different, Rare/Ex item.

As I read on, though, though, that became a bit more vague to me. I suppose he was genuinely mad at you for attempting the drop, rather than simply buying the old, sellable item off of the Auction House. o_O

Yes, that's idiocy incarnate. It wouldn't matter if you COULD make the money in an hour. You had as much right to that claim as him.

I suppose some people convince themselves that they "need" something more than anyone else, and begin to resent every other person that makes a bid for it.

In one case i went out and camped LL, some ppl actually asked me to help them since "I already had Leaping boots, "why do you need Bounding boots?"
In another case, I was bitch'd at because i got off my chocobo and killed it. I was told it wasnt fair i just ran out there and claimed it. Again boo fucking hoo.
People like these are never to be taken seriously since they only speak out of fustration.

I just like traveling out to the LL camp areas and flashing "/point Leaping Lizzy", "/panic Leaping Lizzy", "/poke Leaping Lizzy" and watching the hilarity ensue. And I don't even have Leaping Boots or Bounding Boots, and I'm a Thief.
 
It does get frustrating when you have been camping for a NM for a long time and someone just walks up and claims it, but everyone has a right to take claim. I know I generally walk through NM spawning points when I am walking through the area. I'm sure that this person would claim any NM that he thought that he could take if he saw it in front of him whether he was camping it or just walked up.

Its funny how people think level 75's are all rich. The truth is most of them gimped their way to 75 and stay gimp until some LS pimps them out.
 
That guy is a douchbag. He was mad at me because I was hunting it with my MNK. I kept getting tells like "you know MNK can't wear these boots" and the like. Yeah douchbag all the way.

I'll go hunt it just to piss him off. Oh and the fact that if I get the boots I can sell my actually Leaping Boots for money...You know, cuz I could fucking use some.
 
This gets me in the mood to get on my thf equip my Bounding boots and go camp lizzy. Thf/rng FTW
