Ok heres my little rant of the day.


this is to the people out there who can't fucking read the /seacom.

It doesn't say "away short time party no thanks" for nothing. If i want to pt or tele you i will fucking /seek a god damn pt.

Last night i was fighting Kirin. I got pt invites from 7 different people.(I got 6 Invites from the same person) -.- My /seacom was "Doing gods please no pts, LEAVE ME ALONE"

Now i know there are jobs out there that can't get pts *cough*samanddrg*cough*

And i feel for ya(really i mean it, i spent 30 min seeking as whm one day...)
I did a /sea all whm when these events happened and there were whm's seeking and not afk. so then heres a question, WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU ASKING A NON SEEKING WHM WITH A /SEACOM SAYING "LEAVE ME ALONE" TO PT?

Jesus christ people.

And don't tell me to do /anon, it does jackshit when teh person /checks you.

Like 5 min ago, i'm sitting in Lower Jeuno, reading/bazaaring, when i see "person examines you"

If you do /sea all whm and then click to send them a /tell, their /seacom info shows up. Why can't people read this? It's not hard to read is it?

Maybe if i put stick figures having sex in my /seacom from now on you people will leave me alone.... or "Fuck you SE".

Agreed. I'll often seek with a friend, and make note of this in my search comment. People will ignore this entirely and invite myself or her anyway. Alone, with no room for the other.

What the fuck do these people think I'm going to say?

Yeah, I hate that too. I hate going /anon because sometimes (well, not anymore since I am Rank10) people would send me /tells to see if I needed 7-1 or 7-2. And quite a few people know that I static with Tongan with certain jobs.
I hate LFG in sky, in Ru'Avitau, in Ve'Lugannon, and getting an exp PT invite in Bibiki Bay.
When I say I am @ 1000 to level 41, don't invite me to a 38-39 PT. I've had that happen. I've had people ask me if I wanted to party, and invited me to a full party, and I promptly disbanded. I love having the leader send me a /tell wtf? and I say Tsk tsk, search comment. :nono: He's the first person I tell that I'm going AFK for a few minutes, so he can stop pulls or main heal for a bit.

I find if you put humorous sayings in your /seacomment you will get less xp pts because people will read it and laugh then forget why they were looking at you, instead you get a /tell "Lol nice /sea comment Blaze lol"

lvl 67 samurai, i go days without getting a invite, i usaully have to seek 3 hours minimum. my gear isnt gimped but i think it might be because im a mithra and they think i'll have low STR, they can tell that to my 900 damage tachi:gekko's to IT's though..

46 here... I out DD any job I pt with and handle my own well yet...... no invites.... People suck.. they rather have some crappy DD like Drk that SC every other PT... 8 hours and no pt.. right. -.-

And I agree with Myrrh on this, as a RdM turning off anon means /invite spam.. READ THE COMMENT.

Nothing worse than sitting with a friend or significant other with a BLATENT /seacom... and some RETARD asking you to pt. /blist Do you need it?

i wouldnt know since my whm is 25 my rdm is 7 and my blm is 17, so i never reall get tons of invites, and same here some people rather have crappuy DD noobs with bad gear and stuff to skillchain alot instead of a sam that can skillchain with 2 people and solo a weaponskill all at once, while still having more to then the other melees in the party,

recently ive been getting parties easily, but when i was in my 40's i usually waited hours before an invite

I have my own personal experience with this kind of thing. Mainly it's when I'm standing outside the trail markings getting ready for dynamis. I always have Dynamis - Whatever in my comment and what I'm lotting on, but people would still ask for exp parties, teleports, raises across the world and whatever. Eventually I just started putting more and more mean messages in my comment until eventually people finally stopped asking. My actual comment isn't an exp comment either, I tossed it under "other" just to help distinguish that I don't want to exp.

The best time was I actually got an exp invite while I was in dynamis. I had gotten disconnected, came back, put my flag up and let my LS know that I was back. Before I got the invite back into my party, some guy asked me for exp.

Basically, if they're ignoring your search comment, they're an idiot. Just consider it a literacy and common sense test that they have to pass before you'll party with them.

The only thing I could possibly see wrong with this is if you are doing Gods maybe, then you might get hairy when people are switching out parties and and someone actually sent you an invite.

But noone who could be in that region would be stupid enough to send a blind invite unless they were trying to piss you off.

Because you shouldn't have to tell a stupid person to learn how to read then clog up your /blacklist just so you don't receieve any more tells lol. I can understand being asked when you have no /seacom or w.e, but when you're doing dynamis, limbus etc. people really should not be asking you to exp anyway.

Pretty sure you lose your search comment if you disconnect.

Also, I am with trippyhappy all the way on this one. I walk around as RDM or WHM all the time without going /anon or putting "Fuck off" in my /sea comment. I dont give two shits if ppl want to invite me to their party.

Also i am probably guilty of not reading /sea comments fully. Usually these jp players have sea comments with all this JP stuff and a "JP ONLY" buried in there somewhere. I always seem to not realize this until right after i send /tell. Of course, sometimes the JP peeps happen to accept anyways.

sometimes i even like to see how many invites i can get while im doing some such thing- show off my "superior invite skillz" to my melee friends.

Also, Sam kicks ass, and especially past 60 with /thf they are crazy skillchain motherfuckers. I find myself trying to magic burst more often than my recast timers for spells.
