Also i am probably guilty of not reading /sea comments fully. Usually these jp players have sea comments with all this JP stuff and a "JP ONLY" buried in there somewhere. I always seem to not realize this until right after i send /tell. Of course, sometimes the JP peeps happen to accept anyways.

Yes, I lost my comment, but the fact that it said that I was current INSIDE a dynamis zone is a big fucking clue that I'm not interested in an exp party.
 
You're also missing the part where I said I had to make gradually meaner and meaner comments, because politely saying that I was busy wasn't working.
 
I can understand them wanting to get a WHM, nothing is worse then having 5 pt members and sitting with your thumb up your ass for 2 hours for lack of healer. Though them not asking a WHM with seek up is stupid.

That being said I am a SAM and I have to say the reputation for sucking we get is unfair, but its one of those jobs, if ya don't do it right, you are gonna suck so bad it aint funny.

If you do /sea all whm and then click to send them a /tell, their /seacom info shows up. Why can't people read this? It's not hard to read is it?

If I'm looking for another party member to fill a slot, and there's no one of "x" job seeking, I try inviting the "do not invite" comment people first, just to piss 'em off.
 
My least favourite thing is when I would be seeking pt on my whm, I would get all these tells asking for teleports. Usually they would say something like "It'll only take you a minute!" or something. Of course, when I stop seeking pt for that minute to tele you (and most likely you aren't going to be ready for the teleport so it's more like 3 minutes), some other whm will get my pt invite because I'm not seeking.

But when you try to explain that to people, they call you a selfish asshole. Ironic.

Besides /sea comment you could look and see what area they are in. If you are too lazy to do even that, then why the hell would i want you leading my fucking party. IMO if you're that lazy, don't start a pt, be a follower.

I remember one time I switched to WHM to do Promy ENMs and kept getting this guy wanting me to be WHM in his exp pt. I told him I was doing ENMs and he asked how long that was going to be. Had to keep telling him I'm going to be busy for awhile. Just would not shut up... But I'd never go /anon as RDM just polietly told them <<No thanks.>> and gimped PLDs.. PLD in pt .. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA yea sorry um <I'm busy!> lolPRDs!

My word of advice is to never disrespect SAMs again like that. We happen to be one of the if the best melees against endgame mobs. I've gotten any party that I asked for, never had to wait that long at all. You should shoot yourself for making such a disrespectful comment. Just be happy that I'm normally a calm guy and can hold my tongue, I could be saying much worse

And one last thing /anon; it works.

No. Anon is annoying. People can read a /seacom or GASP ask the peopel LFP. If I'm not seeking, leave me the fuck alone unless you're a personal friend I've told different.

Man, calm down. They weren't bashing samurai as a job, they were saying they have to lfg for long times; which is true for any melee job. You seem to have taken it as a personal attack when it's nothing more than an observation likely due to hearing a sam complaining about how long it takes to get an invite.

And when I'm waiting outside the trail markings about to go into dynamis, /anon isn't an option because then people might not know what job I'm playing so won't know to invite me or not. Regardless of if I'm not even doing anything, /anon isn't the answer to the problem, because I've already made an effort to not have people ask me to party by creating my search comment. It's not my fault the people who ignore search comments are too stupid to read up to 3 lines of text to see if I'm available or not; so I'm not the one who should have to make even more effort to make sure they don't bother me.
