learn2voke (was: I am your liasion)

I would have ditched that party too if it's as bad as people make it out to be.

Does that make me evil? No, I value my time. I'd rather sit in Jeuno lfg while doing something else and get maybe 1 or 2 good party invites then sit in a bad one and almost fall asleep from boredom.

And about the macro issue, it can be fun for the first 15 min if they have a fun macro (read: not stupid ones like "Come here bitch!" or "I fucked your mom!!!1!11one!1onethuousandonehundredelevenshiftone!"), but after 15 min you get tired of seeing the same line of text over and over again, which makes you just wanna to make their head go all squishy \(°•°)/ No offence.

ok i really didnt want to but i have to say something bout this flame.ok where the fuck does it say in our job description for dragoons to tank?were damage dealers our jobs are to go in to the party and deal damage and perform our assigned SC.how the fuck are we gimp for not doing someone elses job because the nin cant blink tank worth shit?im a lvl 64 dragoon and i know that even if he was to even attempt to voke off nin it only has like 22-25% chance of working.why you ask?because like i said b4 we are damage dealers its not our job to care whether or not our vokes work.oh and for all the smart assses out there we sub war for berserk and added str and attack.now dont get me wrong he prolly should have attempted to at least voke even though it prolly wouldnt work becuase i do it.if i see a mage dieing or something like that i hit my voke macro just for a little hope it might work and save them.but that doesnt mean we are to be expected 100% to tank just because a nin cant tank worth a damn or the mages arent doing there job and keeping the tanks hp up.i know that there are alot of good nin blink tanks out that are practicly flawless at blink tanking so its not like its not possible.looking at this flame to me it loks like the jap nin was all pissed cause he cant blink tank worth a damn and was pissed and trying to blame someone else for his shitty skill.im sorry if this pisses someone off but im a dragoon (main) and i love that job and im tired of coming on here and seing drg get bashed and blamed for everything.oh and one more thing pertaining to what i said bout the war sub i forgot to put thats we use it for 1st voke to.its ok if you dont like dragoon cause its your opinion but that doesnt mean you have to come on here and bash them.well im glad i said that.i feel better now lol.

well, depending on the mobs they fight a NIN can get down to red HP and sitll do a good job blink tanking, not to mention they can always screw up.

And I'm assuming one of the things they said was that they're trying to get SATA ready, in which case the DRG needs to provoke so the THF can SATA on to the THF. Although he could SATA on the DRG every now and then as the DRG have Super Jump.

thats tru.i might have overreacted a bit.its just like i said b4 i hate seing dragoon get blamed for everything.

There are no spaces in between your sentances. I really am not a grammar nazi but how old are you, 4?

Also they werent asking the drg to tank they were asking him to setup SATA for the thf. And if you can't understand that by 64... I got nothing to say to you.

I hate DRGs that think the world hates them, STFU about that already. It was a completely different DRG, it was NOT you. If your main tank is going to die, HELP HIM. Shit noobs in the dunes know to voke when the tank is in the red, you should too.

I actually /sea the DRG cause of something else and he was lvl 68 in B. Tree. Now at that lvl my guess is they were doing flies there. Anyone that has done flies there knows that the xp is good, but lots of AOE can easily rip a party up. It can quickly get ugly if people don't know what is going on. I had a party there that couldn't hang even though our levels were right for there.

Sometimes your party isn't going to work, and expectin 5 people to suffer through it is ridiculous, especially when 2 of them can't communicate a different plan of action with you.

THF has assassin, no need setting up sata, that is why I'm waiting till lvl 60 to party with a THF. They were asking the guy to voke cause the NIN was dying.

Seriously. Everyone doesn't hate DRG's. Actually, over the course of 66 levels I've learned there are ALOT of fans of said job. DRG is one of, if not the best SATA Partner in the game. (That's an arguement for the other 2983473297 topics made about it.) DRG can take a few hits. And to top it off, unless you're mindlessly blowing your jumps at the start of every fight, you can shed hate. SO it's not like voking secures hate on you for christ sake. Plus, there is a THF, a quick SATA Lined up would also pull it off you. Of course, all this would require one to be skilled and able. Guess thats where the problem would lie?

A bad THF, or slow, can totally ruin it for the SATA partner, the tank, the healers....EVERYONE waiting to do anything.
I hate bad THFs.

I hate bad THFs.

I hate slow tanks. When I played THF, damn tanks never got in line quick enough faster than me.

Who doesn't fight in a uniform fashion to the point where only the THF has to move? God damn fucking scrub newbies.

I haven't partied with thf at assasin lvls since assasin was introduced. No one has ever really bothered to tell me about it either, other than it makes TA into a second SA.

If there's a nin tank why wouldn't the thf continue to do an opening sata onto the nin? Isn't that one of the whole dang purposes of inviting him? Not a flame, and if you reply with "Hurr hurr ninja shouldnt need sata" thats not the point. Ninja can function without it, but it makes life easier on them and having a thf do this for the ninja seems more important in my eyes than an extra crit at the beginning. And why wouldnt he still use SATA in his weaponskills? A 1k+ weaponskill will turn a mob guarenteed, every melee post 60 uses /thf just for this hate transfer ability.... Or does assasin make hate transfer too?

When i read this i thought first of goobues, not flies... Guess i've had too many bad memories of goobues with slow thf or slow tank getting me killed trying to setup sata or trying to turn the mob off the tank because he got double attack crit and silenced and is in the red.

Well, NIN doesn't need a THF, but i'll explain assassin anyway lol.

THF can hit TA while mob is facing the tank, allowing for him to SA from behind the mob without transfering hate behind the tank. No more awkward midfight vokes from the partner to try and pull hate. THF can easily TA+WS then SA without sacrificing damage.

Blah, I hate the no edit thing here.

By using a seperated TA+SA WS combo, you not only lose over all damage, but you lose skillchain damage and also you have a lesser ammount of hate transfer.

Also, you definition of assasin is somewhat misleading. Trick attack for a main job thief has pretty much always been a a hate transferring attack that has an agi-based damage multiplier that could be preformed as long as you were behind someone. All assassin really does adds a critical hit to TA and gives it 100% accuracy.

um yeah what he said...
Actually assasin isn't that useful. It comes in handy once in a while when the mob doesnt turn but a ws and a voke is normally all thats needed to turn the mob. Not only that but switching the gear to be agi based for trick attack then swapping for dex means that you have a bit too much time wasted manuvering. This is keeping in mind the fact that when in the gear for trick attack or sneak attack accuracy takes a huge dive while waiting for the thf to attack and be able to switch to his/her tp gear setup. Basically a thf can lose out on 20-40 tp due to time wasted attacking with no accuracy gear on.
