Leathergirl - Stealing bish! (was: A desperate cry for help)

Today with a promised deal of synthesis, I had my Leaping Boots stolen from me (along with 10k gil) by a character named Leathergirl. She sent them to another character through the delivery system and then hard d/ced. I've had these boots with me sense nearly when I started and am lost without them since I am a THF....
I don't know what to do.... it will take forever to get another pair, I don't even know if Leaping Lizzy even spawns in the same place anymore. The GM just said that she'll look in to it, though she's not able to tell me her actions or give me my items back (sounds like it was pointless to even call a GM).
Maybe if some rich player could find it in their heart to help me out... (doubtful T_T) someone that has a pair they don't want anymore, or anyone for that matter, it would be very much appreciated. I will do anything I can to return the favor. Be your TH2 bitch, farm and grow some saplings for you (might take a long while)....
I just want my boots back.... and I have no idea what camping Lizzy is like since the update....

Yea, it was stupid. But I am having a very bad day (due to things outside the game) and nothings working for me.
 
She said she would synth them into Winged Boots
 
I guess I'll just buy a new pair... though those did have sentimental value (1st rare, 1st NM, done very early in the game) .... even though it'll put me hella in the hole. And its impossible to get time to farm because of my college's shitty network.....
bleh...
 
She tried that on me last night when i switched over to my level 19 warrior and put on my Leepers in Bastok....I told her no since i had winged boots for my 24+ jobs and Leepers for my 7-23 jobs.

I thought something was fishy about that cunt.
 
Let that be a lesson to anyone else wanting Winged Boots. Unless you really trust the synther, you are probably better off selling your Leapers and purchasing a pair of Winged. Probably won't be an even trade, but it shouldn't be all that costly, or wasn't when I did it.

Did you request the synthesis or was she advertising? I think both situations would be dumb but if she was advertising, that'd be even stupider. Did you know the person well? This reminds me of the bad situation that someone (I'm thinking Mattaru) had with Batchporu and those leaping boots he/she stole. People will take advantage of whomever is available.

As for the GM, Geez, I think the STUPID GM can actually look in the bloody chat logs to see whats happening. I mean, if they can enforce shouting and see into our chat logs, I don't see why they have to take so long investigating the situation. I want to see a vigilante GM that just strikes down Players with their judge armour.

Next time, I would request help on the boards. If you're going to get help, I'd make sure someone at least has a reputation to lose.
 
Just get a pair of noct boots +1. You get +2 dex for 50k. The one extra dex isn't going to make a difference at all and agi, from my experience, doesn't help with SATA (some people say it effects trick attack, but I'm VERY sure it does not. SE made dex effect SA in a patch and many people just assumed they made agi go to TA... int might have an effect on it, though).

As for lizzy, i'm pretty sure its the same spawn area, just a longer spawn time. I'd say changed from 1-3 hours to 2-3 hours, but thats only from like 2-3 camps of lizzy. If you are lvl 25, just camp on the rock, sub rng, have flee macro'd, and have some darts in your throwing. Just keep widescan > look for lizzy > Target > Flee > /ra. It's all yours.
 
If you really wanted them upgraded you coulda asked me :p i dont charge to upgrade those unless they +1!! I'm good!! Ask Euph!

its still quite as random as ever. still see those quick spawns and then those 8 hr spawns O.o

and you should probably go camp the boots. its not too hard with flee. I would help if I had access to the game, but I dont for a while ><
 
Well I've had my boots stolen in an even stupider way but I managed to get them back, not with help of a GM although one was contacted. I don't know what to tell you besides track the person down and do your best to haunt them or trick them somehow into giving you the boots back. Or threaten them repeatedly about what a GM said they *would* do. I've camped lizzy since last update, although ive been sucking it up the spawn is still around 1-2 hours. In the usual area. It also seems she likes to spawn on the least capable people at the camp only, for instance a 13 mnk twice and an 18 bard....thats just me being frustrated.
 
Well I camped Lizzy and killed it twice in about a span of 40 mins. I got boots on 2nd kill. So that problems solved now....
I'm just pissed that someone out there has a free pair -_-
 
hey still get on her and call a gm again. if she did it once she'll do it again. dun let her off easy.

she'll catch someone esle off guard.
 
I believe it is the honorable duty of every QCDN'er to make Leathergirl's online experience hell (without to get yourself in trouble, of course). Maybe /sh "Leathergirl, you still wearing the stolen Lizzy boots?" etc etc, you know what's best. Of course if it was a flithy alt, then it's no good, but maybe, just maybe, it was a main.

So get to it chaps! ... and Happy New Year to all of you too!
